Human resource management (HRM) in Western perspectives continue to be questioned in the East, especially from Islamic academics. There is hope to implement religious teachings in the organizational sphere. Generally, this paper discusses issues in Islamic HRM, questioning the extent to which Islam (text and context) governs people in organizations. Putting forward the literature sourced from the pages of Ebsco and Emerald using the keywords "Islamic Human Resources Management." Found 96 journals, but only 21 contained the themes we meant. Then read intensively, make mapping, determine the main ideas of each journal, and group ideas based on themes. These themes were discussed: the internalization of Islam in HRM, Islamic values in HRM, developments in Muslim countries, and the challenges of Islamic HRM. This paper found religion entered the organizational realm not far after the discussion of industrial psychology was discussed. Using framework of 'the management theory jungle', the role of religion in organizations can be explained. HRM is a Western product that emerged after the industrial revolution. The argument positions Islam as a regulator of halal-haram restrictions on human activities in the organization. Furthermore, the cultural phenomenon above religion is also a hot issue. Managers know, understand, and acknowledge the goodness of Islam, but not yet for practice. So far, the expert study of Islamic HRM is still merely exploring values based on four sources, namely the Qur'an, Hadith, Ijma ', and Qiyash. Need best practice research, so that later it will be able to bring up the Islamic HRM curriculum.
Dikirim: 23 Juni 2018 Innovation important to achieve sustainable organization. Innovation studies in the tourism sector not yet found a reliable theoretical framework and work system. As a result, 8 Tourism Villages in Gunung Kidul Regency threatened to fail. Desa Wisata Nglanggeran (DWN) is claimed to be growing rapidly due to continuous innovation. This study understands the innovation process in DWN using qualitative methods with the Live-in Program as the case. We adopted the innovation framework as a reference for analyzing field findings. The finding is the workings of the DWN community innovation starting from initiation: formulation of the problem, idea generation, and promotion of ideas. Then the development phase is the development of work concepts. Last phase of execution: marketing and post marketing evaluation. The innovation process can work because driven by many factors: involving many actors, having a solid team, oriented to the needs of tourists, building informal communication, and getting community support. The low competence of human resources, unpreparedness, and risk management are the main obstacles. Implications for the rural tourism innovation literature gets community innovation has a relatively similar working with service innovation. The mobilizing the role of key actors and community support is a typical finding this study. We recommended the importance of developing innovation competencies in tourist villages, linking new access to knowledge, and providing special funds.
This study aims to understand Islamic management works in business organizations. We intend to expand this area of study while affirming the main argument by raising studies in culinary organizations. Waroeng Group was appointed as a case. It was considered successful in internalizing Islam into the organization's work system. Reviewing the workings of the WG along with the criteria within it are the main focus. We follow the pattern of qualitative work, such as make observations and interviews early, perform data collection, and write the results of the field to the worksheet.The study found that initial emphasis should emerge from a leader (top Management). We call it by ‘the call of the heart’, not because of the encouragement of the other party or are profitable. So understanding that leadership is a reorientation intention readable work, building work paradigm for worship (to Allah), ukhuwah Islamiyah, and worship as the income base of the organization. Then bringing up a special team that is able to present the Islamic management program. WG restructures the organization chart by providing a special position for the department of the spiritual company (DSC).The DSC is led by a person who is able to integrate and interconnection of Islam and business, call it Ustadz. Organizing the needs of employees into a DSC workload. Coaching begins with recruitment and selection, then providing sufficient time for training. WG train new employees about 40 days prior to the employment contract. Furthermore, the paradigm of working for worship has spawned a new paradigm, working for da'wah.That is a special finding in this study. The working not to save oneself, but also to insiders and outside organizations. WG provides da’wah program from internal to internal, internal to external, external to external. This study provides the way of Islamic management work, so it is considered able to answer the needs of practitioners and academics, especially Islamic management consultants to bring the Islamic culture, especially in the context of business organizations.
Complex Political Emergence (CPE) menjadi paradigma yang mampu menjelaskan saat sebuah konflik tidak mampu dikelola dan diprediksi penyelesaiannya. Perang yang kemudian merambah pada isu kemanusiaan, ideologi, dan keterbatasan sumberdaya seringkali menjadi contoh mutlak. Tetapi tidak menutup kemungkinan bergeser ke konflik laten agama. Menimbang hal tersebut, studi ini kemudian berargumen bahwa masa konflik Ahmadiyah dengan ‘muslim tertentu’ di Indonesia kemungkinan mengarah pada CPE. Diskusi pada tulisan ini telah didukung oleh berbagai jurnal, pandangan tokoh, dan berita dari media online. Semua bahan dibaca secara interaktif, direduksi, kemudian intisari bacaan dikembangkan sesuai penalaran induktif. Studi ini memaparkan beberapa bukti kasus kekerasan, bahkan penghilangan nyawa di kalangan warga Ahmadiyah. Penyebabnya dalam CPE dikenal dengan predatory social formations atau penanaman pemikiran bahwa Ahmadiyah merusak akidah Islam dan diklaim sesat. Sehingga saat ‘muslim tertentu’ bertemu dengan pengikut Ahmadiyah, keinginan untuk mengadakan kontak sangat mungkin terjadi. Ini menjadi jawaban penting bahwa konfliknya mengarah pada CPE.
Pembangunan daerah di Provinsi Papua dalam kerangka otonomi khusus belum memiliki capaian signifikan meskipun telah berjalan selama dua puluh tahun. Kajian ini bertujuan merumuskan solusi atas belum otimalnya capaian pembangunan layanan dasar (pendidikan dan kesehatan) di Provinsi Papua dalam kerangka otonomi khusus. Metode yang digunakan berupa metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan naratif melalui studi kepustakaan. Data dan literatur dikumpulkan dari beberapa kajian bereputasi dengan topik kata kunci “otonomi khusus”, “layanan dasar”, dan “Provinsi Papua”. Analisa dilakukan dengan teknik triangulasi data dan literatur hasil penelitian untuk kemudian peneliti menarik sintesis dari setiap garis besar fokus kajian secara sistematis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tingginya dana otonomi khusus telah berkorelasi dengan peningkatan capaian pembangunan seperti IPM dan peningkatan lauanan dasar (pendidikan dan kesehatan), namun signifikansinya sangat rendah. Pada Undang-Undang Otonomi Khusus terbaru, Provinsi Papua berkesempatan besar dalam berkontestasi secara nasional mengingat adanya peningkatan alokasi anggaran otonomi khusus guna mengakselerasi pola pembangunan. Sebagai alternative rekomendasi, kajian ini menawarkan alternative solusi berupa perbaikan pemahaman esensi otonomi khusus yang bukan hanya dari perspektif fiscal, perbaikan model mekanisme transfer dan pengawasan, intensifikasi dan optimalisasi koordinasi pemerintah dengan pemerintah daerah dalam kerangka pembangunan pos-pos strategis pembangunan, dan meninjau ulang terkait dasar petunjuk pelaksanaan dan petunjuk teknis sebagai pedoman. Implikasi penelitian ini adalah perlunya perbaikan pada aspek-aspek strategis dalam pengembangan layanan dasar di Papua melalui mekanisme solusi yang ditawarkan/direkomendasikan.
