Mitra pada kegiatan PKM ini adalah SD Swasta Teladan Sumatera Utara. Permasalahan yang dialami oleh mitra yaitu : 1) Minimnya pengetahuan guru-guru tentang pembelajaran yang inovatif sehingga pembelajaran berlangsung secara konvensional dan monoton, 2) Sebagian guru belum mendapatkan pelatihan kurikulum 2013 sehingga kesulitan dalam menerapkannya, 3) Sebagian guru tidak mampu merancang Rencana Pelaksanaan Pembelajaran (RPP) dengan baik, 4) Tidak tersedianya alat peraga pembelajaran, 5) Minimnya keterampilan guru-guru dalam pembuatan alat peraga edukatif tematik. Metode pendekatan dalam pelaksanaan PKM ini menggunakan metode pendidikan, pelatihan, praktik dan pendampingan. Luaran yang dihasilkan antara lain: 1) Meningkatnya pengetahuan guru tentang pembelajaran inovatif di sekolah dasar, 2) Meningkatnya pengetahuan guru-guru dalam menerapkan kurikulum 2013, 3) Meningkatnya keterampilan guru-guru dalam merancang RPP kurikulum 2013, 4) Tersedianya berbagai alat peraga edukatif tematik sekolah dasar, 5) Meningkatnya keterampilan guru-guru dalam pembuatan alat peraga edukatif tematik.
This study aims to determine the benefits of using inquiry-based digital teaching materials during the Covid-19 pandemic for natural science learning subjects in high-grade elementary schools. The method used in this research is descriptive method with the aim of obtaining a description of the usefulness of digital teaching materials in online learning for elementary school teacher education (PGSD) students. Digital teaching materials are one of the solutions that can be given to problems that occur during the pandemic. COVID-19 so that students' needs for teaching materials are still fulfilled even though the learning that is taking place is not carried out face-to-face in class. This teaching material is structured with self-instructional, adaptive, self-contained, and user friendly characteristics. The data analysis in this study is based on four indicators, namely the ability of students to use digital teaching materials, student activeness in learning using digital teaching materials, the effectiveness of learning using digital teaching materials and student responses to learning using digital teaching materials. The instrument used in collecting data in this study was a questionnaire. Based on the results of data analysis, it was found that 75% of students were able to use applications as science teaching materials, 65% of students seemed to be active in learning, 85% of students stated that digital teaching materials were very effective in online learning, and 90% of student responses to learning were positive.
This study aims to determine the creative thinking skills possessed by students through project based learning activities in the form of making media powtoon. This research is a descriptive study to see how far students are able to think creatively to produce a product in learning science in elementary school. The analysis results obtained based on the percentage results show that the creative thinking skills possessed by students are quite good when viewed from the products produced. The percentage value of creative thinking skills from project learning activities obtained included group 1 by 27%, group 2 by 25%, group 3 by 30%, and group 4 by 18%.Keywords: Project Based Learning Activities, Powtoon ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui keterampilan berfikir kreatif yang dimiliki oleh mahasiswa melalui project based learning activities berupa pembuatan media powtoon. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif untuk melihat sejauhmana mahasiswa mampu berfikir kreatif untuk menghasilkan sebuah produk dalam pembelajaran IPA di SD. Hasil analisis yang diperoleh berdasarkan hasil presentase menunjukan bahwa keterampilan berfikir kreatif yang dimiliki oleh mahasiswa sudah cukup baik jika dilihat dari produk yang dihasilkan. Nilai presentase keterampilan berfikir kreatif dari aktivitas pembelajaran proyek yang diperoleh antara lain kelompok 1 sebesar 27%, kelompok 2 sebesar 25%, kelompok 3 sebesar 30%, dan kelompok 4 sebesar 18%. Abstact: The purpose of this study is to get an idea of the differences in the increase in scientific literacy skills of elementary school teacher candidates, between students who get basic science learning concepts using Virtual Laboratory through the Argument Driven Inquiry learning model with students who only apply the Argument Driven Inquiry learning model without using the Virtual Laboratory. The study was conducted using a quasi-experimental method with a randomized control group design pretest - posttest design. The population is all students of odd semester elementary school teacher candidates at Medan State University. Samples of two classes were selected by cluster random sampling. The results showed that the normalized gain average score <g> for scientific literacy skills in the experimental class was 0.75 which met high criteria, while in the control class it was 0.47 which met the middle criteria. Based on the average difference test, at the 95% confidence level, the results of the study show that the learning model of virtual laboratory argument driven inquiry can significantly improve the ability of scientific literacy compared to the learning model of the argument driven inquiry without the virtual laboratory.Keywords : argument driven inquiry learning model, virtual laboratory, scientific literacy abilityAbstrak: Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mendapatkan gambaran tentang perbedaan peningkatan kemampuan literasi sains calon guru sekolah dasar, antara mahasiswa yang mendapatkan pembelajaran konsep dasar IPA menggunakan virtual laboratory melalui model pembelajaran Argument Driven Inquiry dengan mahasiswa yang hanya menerapkan model pembelajaran Argument Driven Inquiry tanpa menggunakan virtual laboratory. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa skor rata-rata gain yang dinormalisasi <g> untuk keterampilan literasi sains di kelas eksperimen adalah 0,75 yang memenuhi kriteria tinggi, sedangkan di kelas kontrol 0,47 yang memenuhi kriteria sedang. Berdasarkan uji perbedaan rata-rata, pada tingkat kepercayaan 95%, hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa model pembelajaran argument driven inquiry berbantuan virtual laboratory dapat secara signifikan meningkatkan kemampuan literasi sains mahasiswa dibandingkan dengan model pembelajaran argument driven inquiry tanpa virtual laborator.Kata Kunci: model argument driven inquiry, virtual laboratory, kemampuan literasisains
Utilization of Quizizz Applications in Thematic Learning to Identify PGSD Student Learning Outcomes.This study aims to determine student learning outcomes based on tests that have been carried out through quizizz applications by students. The technique used in sampling in this study was in the form of a purposive sampling technique so that one class was obtained as an experimental group consisting of 38 students who had tried to answer the five questions presented in the quizizz application to meet the final semester exams in thematic learning subjects. The instrument used in this study was in the form of essay tests with 5 questions. The results of this test are able to identify student learning outcomes where based on student answers the percentage obtained for each question is 68%, 74%, 55%, 37%, and 47%. While the average test results obtained that by 56.2% of all questions students were able to answer the questions correctly in the quizizz application. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hasil belajar mahasiswa berdasarkan tes yang telah dilakukan melalui aplikasi quizizz oleh mahasiswa. Teknik yang digunakan dalam pengambilan sampel pada penelitian ini berupa teknik purposive sampling sehingga diperoleh satu kelas sebagai kelompok eksperimen yang terdiri dari 38 mahasiswa yang telah mencoba untuk menjawab lima pertanyaan yang tersaji dalam aplikasi quizizz untuk memenuhi ujian akhir semester pada mata kuliah pembelajaran tematik. Adapun instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini berupa tes berbentuk essay dengan jumlah soal sebanyak 5 soal. Hasil tes ini mampu mengidentifikasi hasil belajar mahasiswa dimana berdasarkan jawaban mahasiswa diperoleh persentase untuk setiap soal yaitu 68%, 74%, 55%, 37%, dan 47%. Sedangkan hasil rata-rata tes diperoleh bahwa sebesar 56,2 % dari keseluruhan soal mahasiswa mampu menjawab soal dengan tepat dalam aplikasi quizizz.
