ResumoO artigo analisa as reformas do Judiciário brasileiro de 2005 a 2014, atualizando trabalho realizado em 2010. As reformas, voltadas à racionalização da gestão, por meio de medidas simplificadoras dos processos judiciais e de novos instrumentos gerenciais para o acompanhamento dos processos e da atividade dos juízes, parecem bem--sucedidas. Exploram--se as perspectivas dessas reformas, considerando seus efeitos e seus limites, do ponto de vista da efetividade dos direitos e da democratização do Judiciário.

The reforms, aimed at streamlining the management, through simplifying measures of judicial processes and new management tools for monitoring processes and activity of judges seem successful. The article explores the perspectives of these reforms, considering its effects and its limits, from the point of view of effectiveness of rights and the judiciary democratization.
