Reduction of electrical consumption of a electric vehicle (EV) and electrical appliance is one of solutions for reduction of CO2 gas. Then, we have developed a novel permanent magnet motor for energy saving. In this paper, we propose a novel motor that can change magnetic flux by a new method magnetizing a permanent magnet and clarify the principle and unique characteristics. Furthermore, the results of analysis and experiments prove that the novel motor can change the flux of permanent magnet on load and has realization for a variable speed drive with high performance.Index Terms-permanent magnet motor, magnetization, reluctance torque, variable speed, high efficiency, electric vehicle, hybrid electric vehicle, energy saving
This paper presents a new hardware embedded current control PWM named "iPWM", which was developed based on current hysteresis PWM. iPWM generates PWM signals to the inverter using current deviation vector derived from current feedback and current reference. It is expected that the iPWM can improve performance of inverter. This paper explains the outline of iPWM and experimental results of permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) drive.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
