This study was to explore factors predicting the use of e-learning during Corona Virus Disease 2019 (Covid-19) among sport science education students In Indonesia Higher Education Institutions (HEIs). The study was conducted through survey with 974 participating students from five Indonesian HEIs. An extended Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) with facilitating condition as the external factor was implemented to be the theoretical framework of this study. An analysis method through Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) was employed to measure and assess the proposed model. The findings informed that: (1) the TAM-based proposed scale has been successfully explained factors predicting the use of e-learning among Indonesian sport science students during the pandemic; (2) the finding of significant relationships between facilitating condition and perceived ease of use and between facilitating condition and perceived usefulness was reported; and (3) the significant relationships among core components of TAM were found except for one, relationship between perceived usefulness and attitude.
The aim ofthis study was to examine the preservability of local chicken semen in extender added with various level extra virgin olive oil (EVOO).Semen was collected from three roosters using massage method. Immediately after collection the semen evaluated macro and microscopically. Semen demonstrated > 70% motility, individually divided into five tubes. Each of them diluted with ringer fructose that supplemented with 0%, 4%, 6%, 8% or 10% EVOO. Semen was stored in refrigerator (5 o C) for sixty hours and evaluated every twelve hours for spermatozoa motility and viability. Results revealed that supplementing the diluent of roosters semen with EVOO and then storing it for different storage periods (12, 24, 36, 48 or 60 hours) resulted in significant (p< 0.05) improvement in spermatozoa motility and viabilityin comparison with the control group. Moreover, used of 8% EVOO surpassed other treatments afterin vitro storage for up to 60 hoursand resulted fertilizing ability up to 73.81%.This research conclude that 8% EVOO can be used as antioxidant source for roosters semen during preservation.
The main problem in this research was how to apply a scientific literacy-based scientific approach to improve the physics science process skills of students in the XI class of MA Muallimin Muhammadiyah Makassar, Indonesia in the 2018/2019 academic year. This study aimed to determine the magnitude of the improvement in the physics science process skills of students before and after the scientific literacy-based method is applied. This research used pre-experiment and One Group Pretest-Posttest Design consisting of three stages, which were pretest, treatment, and posttest for six meetings. The procedure in this study was divided into, namely the preparation stage, the implementation phase, and the final phase. Two variables, the independent and the dependent were used, while the sample of this research was 28 XI grade students of MA Muallimin Muhammadiyah Makassar, Indonesia in the 2018/2019 academic year assuming the whole class was homogeneous. The research instrument used was a test of physical science process skills that met valid criteria in 23 questions with material temperature and heat. The results showed that the average pretest score of students was 8.29 and the posttest was 14.50 with a normalized N-gain test score of 0.43 (medium category). To conclude, students' science process skills of class students experienced an increase after the experimental method was applied. The researchers recommended that the results of this study provide benefits for practitioners to improve the science process skills of the middle school students through the application of Science Literacy-based Scientific Method.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
