Reporting incidents of patient safety is one form of effort that can be applied to control the high incidence of patient safety. This study aimed to determine the correlation between nurse knowledge and the supervisory function of the head of the room with nurses' motivation in reporting patient safety incidents. This research is a quantitative recearch with descriptive correlation method and using cross-sectional design. The population in this study were 93 nurses who served in the treatment room of Mangusada Hospital. the sample was 76 people selected through proportional random sampling technique. Pearson product moment was used to analyzed the data with confidence lovel of 95%. The results of research conducted at Mangusada Hospital showed that there was a relationship between nurses 'knowledge and the supervisory function of the room head with nurses' motivation in reporting patient safety incidents (p<0.05). The value of the correlation coefficient shows that there is a very strong and positive relationship, so it can be concluded that the better the nurse's knowledge and supervisory function of the head of the room the higher the nurse's motivation in reporting patient safety incidents. Researchers expect active management to provide workshops related to patient safety. Keywords: function of supervision, knowledge, motivation, nurse
The development of the industrial revolution 4.0 era resulted in unlimited information technology media that are accessible to all people, especially teenagers who are currently studying. Activities that are using screen-based information technology media or Screen Based Activity (SBA), especially those that are not well controlled, can lead to physical disorders such as Computer Vision Syndrome (CVS). This study aims to determine the relationship between SBA and CVS complaints among Vocational High School Students. This research is a descriptive correlative study with a cross-sectional design. The sample consisted of 255 students majoring in information technology. The sample was selected using simple random sampling technique. SBA data collection was measured using the adolescent sedentary activity questionnaire, and the CVS complaints were measured using the CVS questionnaire. The results of the bivariate analysis test for the relationship between SBA and CVS complaints using the Spearman Rank test obtained a significant value of 0.000 (p ≤ 0.05) where there was a significant relationship between SBA and CVS complaints in students with a moderate correlation value of 0.416 and a positive correlation direction. This means that with the increasing duration of the SBA, the CVS complaints will increase in students at Vocational High School 1 Denpasar and vice versa. The writer recommends that educational institutions should pay attention to SBA in students by providing knowledge about controlled SBA to prevent CVS complaints. HIGHLIGHTS The continuous use of screen-based technology on students for daily activities can lead to physical disturbances The increase in complaints of CVS was found to be associated with the longer duration of SBA It is necessary to raise awareness and knowledge regarding health effect related to prolonged SBA and optimize the exposure time along with preventive measures in order to reduce CVS complaints among students GRAPHICAL ABSTRACT
Conflict is one of the factors that affect the performance of nurses. Nurse’s conflict management is closely related to the role of leaders in creating a conducive and productive work environment. The purpose of this study was to describe the perception of implementing nurses on the management of ward head conflict in a hospital in Bali. This research is a quantitative descriptive study with a cross sectional approach. The respondents involved were 71 nurses using purposive sampling technique. Collecting data using a questionnaire about conflict management that has been valid and reliable. The results of the research on the perception of implementing nurse on the conflict management of head nurse from dominating strategy were the “Not Good” category (56.95%), the collaboration strategy was “Good” (85.75%), the avoidance strategy was “Not Good” (44%), the accommodate “Good” (82%), and the compromise strategy “Good” (87%). The majority of implementing nurses perceive that the head nurse uses a compromise strategy in managing conflict in their work area, and the least perceived is that the leader uses a conflict avoidance management strategy. The head nurse is expected to be able to use appropriate conflict management strategies to resolve conflicts in his scope of work, because in general all strategies have their respective advantages and disadvantages to overcome a problem.
