This study discusses about development of regional tourism through the development of human resources Gorontalo, Sulawesi. The master plan for tourism development in Gorontalo stated that Gorontalo has three areas of community-based tourism development and eight excellent tourist attractions. It was realised that human resources has an important role in the general development as well the development of regional tourism. The approach used in this research is descriptive qualitative, data source obtained from field observation, interview, group discussion and documentation. Local governments have encouraged the development of regional tourism, especially destinations that are around the community through the empowerment of surrounding communities in order to manage the destination well. In order for all aspects of tourism management to run properly it is necessary role of local government in giving encourage and support education field of tourism. So it can fill the shorted of expert workforce to be placed on institutions or tourism related industries.

With the results of this research, the community is expected to play a role, especially in marketing the existence of the tourist village so that it will develop and become more famous for the next generation to participate in enjoying the results from generation to generation as well as maintaining local traditions on an ongoing basis, especially in the strength of Human Resources, maintaining local and sustainable wisdom. Community involvement, it will increase the role and standard of living of the community through recognition and the social status of the surrounding community will be raised. In this study, the authors use research methods by taking samples from all walks of life, especially the productive actors involved in the Village Party, Tourism Awareness Groups and local community leaders, face-to-face activities, direct visits to locations that are considered as examples of significant developments in the field of tourism. positive influence on society. From the results of research conducted that the distance from the location of the tourist village which is quite far from the city center does not discourage tourists from visiting the tourist village of Pela, even those who have visited want to visit again at another time.
This study focused about optimization culinary product small scale, which is owned by local community. Before the existing of whale shark, the most occupation of local community works as a fisherman. Many tourist come interested to see the existing of whale shark, with the presence of whale sharks, it is an additional opportunity for fishermen to increase their income. The management of whale shark tours is carried out by local communities so that it aims to advance the income of local communities. When they don't go fishing catch fish then they rent boats owned by tourists to see the existence of whale sharks. Whale shark attraction has several facilities which is managed by local community, visitor who has come and want to see whale shark attraction must by boat ticket. One of the facilities is culinary product in small scale. These culinary product has potential revenue for local community to get more income. Tourist spend about 1-2 hour to see the whale shark. This duration has good potential for local community to offer their culinary product to all visitor. In an effort to increase culinary business income, cooperation with other parties is needed. <p>This study aimed at revitalizing the management system of lena by laundry section in hotel Copthorne Orchid Penang to fulfill the Operational Standard Procedure. This research applied qualitative method which provided data description of written and spoken from the respondent by using observation, interview, and documentation.<br />The research result showed that lena management system by laundry section in hotel of Copthorne Orchid Penang did not fulfill the operational standard procedure because the officers did not follow the procedure and there was no facility of laundry in the hotel which was caused the outside laundry played the role of lena management, in consequence it distrubed the operational of the hotel. As a result, it is a major concern to the hotel to provide the laundry facility and gain the employee to maximize the lena management system by laundry section in Hotel Copthorne Orchid Penang.</p>
Peluang usaha kedai kopi dan mocktail saat ini mejadi salah satu usaha yang memiliki prospek yang cukup baik. Produk yang ditawarkan oleh kedai-kedai kopi dan mocktail saat ini banyak menarik minat, sehingga pasar yang dimiliki bukan hanya oleh kalangan tertentu saja akan tetapi juga di minati oleh semua kalangan. Pembeli minuman kedai-kedai tersebut berasal dari kalangan pelajar hingga pekerja kantoran. Seperti kota lainnya kedai-kedai minuman ini juga tumbuh di Kota Gorontalo dengan cukup pesat terutama dikawasan tertentu di Kota Gorontalo. Kota Gorontalo sebagai pusat perekonomian di Provinsi Gorontalo dan juga terdapat beberapa Universitas yang besar yang letaknya tidak berjauhan antara satu dengan yang lainnya. Hasil penelitian menemukan bahwa usaha kedai kopi dan mocktail termasuk usaha mikro kecil dan menengah yang mana tidak memerlukan modal besar dalam membuatnya dan tidak diperlukan perijinan seperti usaha lain berskala besar. Hal ini menjadi minat pengusaha dalam bidang kedai minuman untuk berwirausaha, sehingga terus tumbuh dan berkembang. Kesimpulan yang didapat bahwa sebagian besar konsumen yang merupakan pencinta dan penikmat minuman kopi & mocktail adalah yang berusia muda antara 15 – 45 tahun, baik berstatus sebagai pelajar dan mahasiswa maupun sebagai perkerja/karyawan, sehingga konsumen diusia ini menjadi target pasar utama dari jenis usaha kecil ini. Konsumen pada rentang usia ini merupakan konsumen yang aktif, dengan tingkat kesibukan yang cukup tinggi serta memiliki gaya hidup modern mengikuti trend masa kini, dan ketergantungan mereka pada produk minuman-minuman seperti ini pun cukup tinggi.
