ABSTRAK. Pembangunan suatu negara dimulai dengan meningkatkan kualitas sumber daya manusia. Status gizi anak usia sekolah adalah status kesehatan yang perlu mendapat perhatian. Prevalensi stunting di Indonesia telah meningkat sejak 2010. Stunting adalah akibat tidak dapat dipulihkan dari kekurangan gizi kronis. Anak-anak usia sekolah yang mengalami stunting cenderung sering absen di kelas, mengalami ketidakmampuan belajar dan kinerja sekolah yang lebih rendah. Sasaran dari kegiatan ini adalah untuk meningkatkan keterampilan penilaian gizi guru sekolah dasar. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini terdiri dari penyuluhan dan pelatihan masyarakat untuk guru sekolah dasar. Pelatihan ini juga menggunakan alat yang disebut "Cakram Gizi" yang mudah digunakan. Mereka diberikan penyuluhan dan pelatihan dengan metode demonstrasi. Hasil dari kegiatan ini adalah bahwa penyuluhan meningkatkan pengetahuan guru tentang stunting. Selain itu, kegiatan pelatihan dapat meningkatkanpengetahuan guru tentang gizi pada anak sekolah dan dapat melakukan deteksi dini tentang gizi yang kurang pada siswa. . Berdasarkan layanan masyarakat ini, kami menyarankan bahwa program kesehatan masyarakat melibatkan institusi pendidikan, khususnya sekolah dalam menangani stunting. ABSTRACT.A country development begins with improving the quality of human resources. The nutritional status of schoolage children was the one of health indicatosr that needed attention. The prevalence of stunting in Indonesia has increased since 2010. Stunting was an irreversible result of a chronic of nutrients deficiencies. The school-age children who experienced stunting tend to be often absent in class, experience learning disabilities and lower school performance. The target of this activity was to improve stunting knowledge and nutritional assessment skills of elementary school teachers. This community service activity was consist of community counseling and training for elementary school teachers. The training also used a tool called "Cakram Gizi" which was easily to be used. They were given through lecture and training or demonstration methods. The results of these activities were that community counseling increased teacher knowledge about stunting. In addition, training activities can improve teacher skills in assessing the nutritional status of students. Based on this community services, we suggest that the public health program involve educational institutions, escpecially the schools in dealing with stunting.
Nutrition problems in children in Indonesia has always been a problem that does not improve, namely the problem of overweight and obesity. The level of knowledge in children about overweight and obesity is one of the factors that can influence the occurrence of obesity in children. Most of the occurrence of nutritional problems can be solved and prevented if the children have sufficient knowledge about overweight and obesity and in regulating their food. The purpose of this research is to find out the influence of providing nutrition education and education on obesity through animated and miniature video media in elementary school children. Type of quasy experimental research with prepost test design with control group design. The research subjects of elementary school children aged 8-13 years old who numbered 45 people with 3 intervention groups got education through posters, animated videos and miniatures. The results showed the average value of children's knowledge after. and before being given education for poster groups the average value of knowledge before 5.73 and after 9.87, the group animated video knowledge before 5.60 and after 9.80 and for miniature groups of knowledge before 5.60 and after 9.80 attitudes before 36.45 and after 39.65. The conclusion of this study is that there is an educational influence by using audio visual media and leaflets on improving knowledge in children. So that this media can be used as an educational media for children. ABSTRAK Permasalah gizi pada anak di Indonesia selalu menjadi permasalahan yang tidak kunjung membaik, yaitu permasalahan overweight dan obesitas. Tingkat pengetahuan pada anak mengenai overweight dan obesitas merupakan salah satu faktor yang dapat mempengaruhi terjadinya obesitas pada anak. Sebagian besar kejadian masalah gizi lebih dapat diatasi dan dicegah apabila anak-anak tersebut memiliki ilmu pengetahuan yang cukup tentang overweight dan obesitas dan dalam mengatur makanannya. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian pendidikan gizi dan edukasi mengenai obesitas melalui media video animasi dan miniatur pada anak sekolah dasar. Jenis penelitian quasi experimental dengan rancangan pre post test with control group design. Subjek penelitian anak sekolah dasar berusia 8-13 tahun yang berjumlah 45 orang dengan 3 kelompok Intervensi mendapat edukasi melalui media poster,video animasi dan miniatur. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan rata-rata nilai pengetahuan anak-anak sesudah dan sebelum diberikan edukasi untuk kelompok poster nilai rata-rata pengetahuan sebelum 5,73 dan sesudah 9,87, kelompok video animasi pengetahuan sebelum 5,60 dan sesudah 9,80 dan untuk kelompok miniatur pengetahuan sebelum 5,60 dan sesudah 9,80 sikap sebelum 36,45 dan sesudah 39,65. Kesimpulan pada penelitian ini yaitu terdapat pengaruh edukasi dengan menggunakan media audio visual dan leaflet terhadap peningkatan pengetahuan pada anak-anak. Sehingga media ini dapat digunakan sebagai media edukasi untuk anak-anak.
