The aim: Is to investigate the influence of modern sports technologies (Crossfit classes) on health and professional activity of law enforcement officers. Materials and methods: The study involved 52 law enforcement officer graduates from the National Academy of Internal Affairs (Kyiv, Ukraine) aged 22-30 who attended Crossfit classes while studying. The duration of the study is 5 years (2016-2020). The level of officers’ health was examined according to the methodology of H. L. Apanasenko which consists in determining the amount of points for each of the 5 indicators: body mass index, vital capacity index, power index, Robinson index, heart rate recovery time. In order to estimate the effectiveness of the officers’ law enforcement activity we conducted a survey of the heads and commanders of units where the officers served using the rating card we developed of a five-point scale. Research methods include analysis and generalization of scientific and methodological works, pedagogic observation, questionnaire survey, medical and biological methods and methods of mathematical statistics. Results: It was also clarified that the health level of the officers who attended Crossfit classes while studying at higher educational institutions with specific training environment remained stable after graduation for 5 years of service (р>0.05). The results of the units commanders’ evaluation of the officers’ law enforcement activities showed positive influence of Crossfit classes on the indicators that characterize the quality of service. Conclusions: It has been established that Crossfit classes during training helped to maintain the level of health of law enforcement officers during 5 years of service on officers’ positions after graduation and provide high efficiency of professional activities.
Due to the spread of the Covid-19 virus, all countries began to introduce quarantine measures, which led to the closure of all higher education institution indefinitely. They were forced to switch to a distance learning process in a short time. The readiness for this process was different, purely technical problems arose - the lack of the Internet, computers, educational materials on the network. And most importantly, the teachers are not ready for distance learning. The IT industry was the first to respond to the needs of teachers and students in physical culture and sports: the power of channels was increased, a large number of services and tools for teaching appeared. For video conferencing, the ZOOM tool turned out to be very popular, a large number of blogs with training recommendations were published on social networks, distance courses were held on the development of training resources and the organization of training. After the weakening of quarantine in the world, it became clear that humanity has entered a new stage of development, where distance learning will play a big role. Therefore, it is important to analyze the results of the distance learning process and determine the priority ways of developing online education in training future managers of physical culture and sports. The article is devoted to the problems of using distance work in the training of future managers of physical culture and sports.
Aim: The aim is to investigate the impact of swimming training sessions on the dynamics of somatic and mental health indicators of students of special medical groups. Materials and Methods:The research involved 50 1st and 2nd year female students who had diseases of various etiology and were assigned to a special medical group. The students’ somatic health was examined according to the indicators of weight, lungs vital capacity, wrist dynamometry, heart rate, arterial blood pressure, Stange test and Genchi test. The mental health was assessed by method of “Well-being, activity and mood”. Results:The experiments conducted within the EG revealed an improvement in all studied indicators of both somatic and mental health. At the end of the research, the vital index, the Robinson index, the Stange and Genchi tests, the level of somatic health, well-being, and mood in the EG were significantly better than in the CG. Conclusions: Regular swimming training sessions help to improve the health of female students of special medical groups in general, strengthen their musculoskeletal, cardiovascular and respiratory systems as well as increase metabolism. In addition, swimming has a positive effect on the nervous system, relieves stress and improves the well-being of female students, increases their activity and mood.
The aim: To study the influence of sambo training on the dynamics of indicators of physical health and psycho-emotional state of cadets in the process of their education. Materials and methods: The research was conducted at the National Academy of Internal Affairs in 2018-2021. The research involved 17-23 years old male cadets. Two groups of cadets were formed: the experimental group (EG, n = 30), the cadets of which were engaged in sambo during their physical training sessions, and the control group (CG, n = 30), the cadets of which were engaged in the traditional methods of physical training sessions. The level of cadets’ physical health was examined according to the method of the professor G. L. Apanasenko. Results: The positive effect of sambo training on the cadets’ physical health and psycho-emotional state was revealed. The EG cadets showed significantly (p < 0.05-0.001) better indicators among the studied ones than the CG cadets. Conclusions: The results of the research allows coming to the conclusion that the high level of physical health and psycho-emotional state of the cadets who were engaged in sambo training will improve the effectiveness of their service tasks performance in the future.
The main purpose of the study is to analyze the effectiveness of the system of formation of professional competence of future managers of physical culture and sports. Recently, much attention has been paid to reforming the education system in the country. The existing system of training qualified personnel for the sphere of physical culture and sports does not correspond to the modern needs of society. In this regard, the training of sports managers and the formation of their professional competence is of particular importance. The actual aspects of the definition and diagnosis of professional competence are confirmed by a number of international educational research programs, proactive scientific developments on this topic. The result of the study is to determine the main aspects of the effectiveness of the system of forming the professional competence of future managers of physical culture and sports.
