Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkap kesesuaian materi apresiasi sastra pada buku teks pelajaran Bahasa Indonesia Kurikulum 2013 (Revisi 2016) tingkat SMP. Keberadaan buku ajar atau buku teks Bahasa Indonesia tidak bisa lepas dari kurikulum yang diberlakukan. Perubahan kurikulum yang dilakukan selama ini berdampak langsung pada buku teks. Pada saat ini masih ditemukan materi yang tidak sesuai dengan standar isi pada kurikulum yang berlaku, meski buku teks tersebut diterbitkan oleh Pusat Kurikulum dan Perbukuan. Salah satu materi pada mata pelajaran Bahasa Indonesia yakni apresiasi sastra. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Data yang dianalisis adalah buku teks bahasa Indonesia SMP Kurikulum 2013 (edisi revisi). Sumber data berupa wacana tertulis dalam buku teks Bahasa Indonesia untuk jenjang SMP dalam kurikulum 2013 edisi revisi 2016. Data dikumpulkan melui teknik utama studi dokumen. Dokumen berupa (1) buku teks Bahasa Indonesia untuk jenjang SMP dalam kurikulum 2013 edisi revisi 2016, (2) Standar Isi Kurikulum 2013 edisi revisi 2016, dan (3) dokumen lain yang mendukung. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa keseuaian materi apresiasi sastra (puisi, prosa, dan drama) memperoleh kriteria "kurang" dengan nilai rerata 2,86 (skala 0-4). Beberapa hal yang menjadi temuan kekurangan tersebut antara lain: (1) penjabaran materi yang tidak lengkap dari indikator yang dikembangkan, (2) penjabaran materi tidak sesuai indikator, (3) ketidakkonsistenan contoh penjelas dengan konsep yang disampaikan, (4) kegiatan yang dilakukan tidak sesuai indikator, dan (5) beberapa bagian tidak ada contoh penjelas.
Computer-based art has recently played a pivotal role in the artistic process of producing digital versions of visual illustration. One of them is the digital painting trends which becomes a new phenomenon in art practice in Indonesia, a transformation between engineering, aesthetics, and culture. This study aims to develop the creative process in mixed media digital painting in the project of folklore visualization as a computer-based art practice. This study employed a research and development design which was carried out by following steps: (a) defining, (b) designing, (c) developing and (d) validating. Trial of development results (mixed media of digital painting) were carried out to art students in the visual arts department of the Faculty of Languages and Arts, Semarang State University who were working on art projects within the scope of folklore illustration. The results of the study showed that the development of mix media digital painting was conducted by using software that is applicable to combine graphic design of bitmap and vector graphics, namely Corel Draw X7 and Adobe Photoshop CS6. The combination between bitmap and vector graphics in folklore illustration project can improve shape variation and artistic effect in digital painting.
This study aims to reveal the perceptions of students and lecturers on the material, process, and assessment of literary appreciation learning. One of the subjects that must be taken by Indonesian Language and Literature Education Study Program students is the Literature Appreciation course. Learning about literary appreciation to students is not really easy because the teacher is required to ensure that students have an understanding, enjoyment, and assessment of literary work. On the other hand, in teaching literature, the teacher needs to have: (1) understanding of the objectives of literary learning, (2) the accuracy of selecting, determining, and packaging literary teaching material based on the values or content in it, (3) the ability to choose and using literary appreciation learning strategies that are able to ignite students' interest and appreciative experience, and (4) the accuracy in choosing and using assessment of literary appreciation learning in accordance with the expected competencies. This study uses a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. The research data is in the form of perceptions of students and lecturers on gender perspective prose appreciation learning. The data sources of this study are college participants and lecturers of literature appreciation (Poetry Appreciation, Prose Appreciation, and Drama Appreciation) in the Indonesian Language and Literature Education Department, FBS, Semarang State University. Data collection techniques used were questionnaire techniques and in-depth interviews. Quantitative data in this study were analyzed using descriptive percentage techniques. The qualitative data were analyzed by data reduction steps, data dispensing, and data verification to obtain conclusions. The results showed that lecturers and students perceived that (1) learning material was in the form of hand-out material, but it was not complete because it only contained theoretical concepts, (2) the material did not contain gender values, even though students need that value, (2) the literary appreciation learning process uses strategies that allow students to appreciate, but the method used is monotonous and less varied, learning activities have not reached the final stages of appreciation, namely reproducing, and the learning process has not paid attention to perspective gender, (3) assessment of literary appreciation learning has used authentic assessment, but has not covered all aspects of assessment (cognitive, affective, psychomotor). Assessment has not considered a gender perspective.
The limited numbers of gallery buildings that display art works become an inhibitor in art appreciation learning. On the other hand, the development of digital-based media has not been widely used as an art learning media. This study aims to analyse the development of art students in studying the painting by using the virtual gallery as a learning media based on digital technology. The research design employed the following steps: (1) designing & preparing virtual gallery; (2) inputting some art works as a learning resources; (3) implementing virtual gallery for painting appreciation learning; and (4) evaluating the learning process. The research subjects were 20 students in the art department who were studying painting appreciation. The results showed that students’ ability in appreciating painting artwork had increased using virtual gallery as a digital-technology-based media. The improvement includes students’ ability in(a) knowing, (b) understanding, (c) analysing, and (d) assessing the artwork. Therefore, it can be concluded that media learning based on technology can simplify art learning, especially in painting appreciation processes.
