Abstract. At a glance reading the Song of Songs gives the impression as a book that displays mere sensuality. Therefore raising the question why the Song of Songs was included in the canonization of the Bible which is the Word of God. This paper aimed to explore the meaning of the great love found in the Song of Songs text that seems vulgar and sensual. The method used in this study was a historical criticism of the Song of Songs 1: 9-17. Through this study, it could be concluded that the love texts in Song of Songs display the power of love that is unique, creative, and contains a sacred dimension, which not only focuses on the physic, but also in the emotional aspects, conscience, and inner bonds, as a form of celebration of God's grace.Abstrak. Membaca kitab Kidung Agung sekilas memberikan kesan sebagai kitab yang menampilkan sensualitas semata. Hal itu tentunya menggugah pertanyaan mengapa Kidung Agung masuk dalam kanonisasi Alkitab yang adalah merupakan Firman Tuhan. Tulisan ini bertujuan untuk menggali makna cinta yang agung di balik tulisan dalam kitab Kidung Agung yang terkesan vulgar dan sensual. Metode yang digunakan dalam kajian ini adalah metode kritik historis terhadap teks Kidung Agung 1:9-17. Melalui kajian tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa teks-teks cinta dalam Kidung Agung menampilkan kekuatan cinta yang unik, kreatif, dan mengandung dimensi kesakralan, yang tidak hanya berfokus kepada fisik, tetapi juga dalam aspek emosional, nurani, dan ikatan batin, sebagai bentuk perayaan atas anugerah Allah.
Abstract The mobilization of information, technology, and social change marked by the presence of cyberspace not only affects the way people think in building relationships with others and themselves but also the process of developing faith and spirituality. Using the methods of qualitative research, literature study, and Focus Group Discussion (FGD), this research finds that in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic, Christian religious patterns are changing drastically, driving all churches to move to virtual reality. The Christian notion of spirituality is also being transformed so that the experience with God is believed to occur not only in the physical space of the church but also in virtual reality. “Clickactivism” forms a new faith community determined by click and spiritual experiences which strength lies in the imagination of communities and individuals. This study concludes that cybertheology is an important contribution in helping Indonesian Christians to have a strong spiritualityabout God who cannot be confined within time and space. Abstrak Arus mobilisasi informasi, teknologi, dan perubahan sosial yang ditandai dengan adanya ruang cyber (cyberspace) ternyata tidak hanya mempengaruhi cara berpikir manusia dalam membangun relasi dengan sesama dan diri sendiri tetapi juga proses pengembangan iman dan spiritualitasnya. Metode yang digunakan ialah penelitian kualitatif, studi literatur, dan Focus Group Discussion (FGD). Hasil penelitian menemukan bahwa dalam konteks pandemi COVID-19, pola beragama Kristen berubah secara drastis sehingga memaksa semua gereja untuk pindah ke realitas virtual. Pemahaman kekristenan tentang spiritualitas juga bertransformasi sehingga pengalaman dengan Tuhan diyakini tidak terbatas dalam ruang fisik gereja tetapi juga dalam realitas virtual. “Aktivitas klik” membentuk sebuah komunitas iman yang baru, yang ditentukan oleh klik dan pengalaman spiritual yang kekuatannya terletak pada imajinasi komunitas dan individu. Karena itu, studi ini menyimpulkan bahwa teologi cyber menjadi kontribusi penting untuk membantu kekristenan di Indonesia untuk berspiritualitas mengenai Tuhan yang tidak dapat dikurung dalam ruang dan waktu.
Sexual crimes are now becoming an urgency in Indonesia because of the increasing number of cases from year to year. From adults to children become objects and victims of sexual predators. However, using digital platforms in this era has given the new variant of sexual crimes in virtual reality. Teenagers who are very close to digital culture are very vulnerable to becoming victims of crime and sexual violence. Based on this, various efforts from all stakeholders, especially Christian Religious Education (PAK) are very important to do. PAK should not be confined to a curriculum on a pile of paper that focuses on doctrinal and personal nurturing of faith. PAK must emphasize the values of love, justice, hospitality, solidarity, peace, and equality in real life, especially in teenagers. PAK must be responsive by providing efforts to social and anticipatory realities so as to minimize the occurrence of online sexual crimes cases in the future. Therefore, PAK must be the foremost pioneer in addressing and resolving the problem of online sexual crimes against teenagers as the next generation of the nation.
