The presence of "new media” such as mobile phones, internet and social media has made major changes in the delivery of messages and communication patterns in children and adolescents. On the other hand, media can make children and teenagers lose their identity, and worsen the morality of children and adolescents. Based on preliminary studies, the negative effects of the "new media” are among the addicted children of online games, addicted to social media, children's time to play mobile phones, children become victims of sexual harassment through the media, the emergence of conflict due to postings on social media, and so on. Some of the roles that school counselors can do to anticipate the emergence of a moral crisis in children and adolescents are; 1) improving skills in utilizing the presence of "new media"; 2) working with teachers and parents in monitoring the use of “new media”, in the form of frequency, duration and content; 3) educating positive internet usage; 4) studying counseling strategies to deal with emerging problems, addiction to onlie games, pornography, bullying and hate speech.Keywords: Role, Counselor, Moral Crisis, "Baru" Media
This study aimed at exploring the emotional dynamics of children with autistic. A qualitative approach with case study method was employed. Two autistic children with average autism severity in Cita Hati Bunda School and Therapy Center for autistic children Sidoarjo were recruited as participants. Data were collected from interviews, observation, and relevant documents. The Plutchik’s concept of emotion components, namely stimulus event, inferred cognition, physiological arousal, feeling state, impulse to action, and overt behaviour and effect was used to invoke some psychological insight in the analysis. The study found that the dynamic of emotions that occurs in autistic children was influenced mainly by situational factors. The result suggested that autistic children need more times to perceive the contexts of stimuli. However, this study was not able to explain how these children make meanings of those stimuli.Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi dinamika emosional pada anak-anak autis. Pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus diguna-kan. Dua anak autis dengan tingkat keparahan autisme rata-rata di Cita Hati Bunda Sekolah dan Terapi Pusat autis anak Sidoarjo direkrut sebagai partisipan. Data dikumpulkan dari wawancara, observasi, dan dokumen yang relevan. Konsep Plutchik tentang komponen emosi, yaitu stimulus event, inferred cogni-tion, physiological arousal, feeling state, impulse to action, overt behaviour dan effect digunakan untuk memberikan wawasan psikologis dalam menganalisis data. Studi ini menemukan bahwa meskipun ketika emosi itu bangkit anak-anak autistik ini tidak mampu mengontrolnya, namun dinamika emosi yang terjadi pada anak autistik sesungguhnya dipengaruhi terutama oleh faktor situasional. Hasil penelitian juga menunjukkan bahwa anak-anak autis perlu waktu yang lebih banyak untuk memahami konteks rangsangan. Namun, penelitian ini tidak dapat menjelaskan bagaimana anak-anak ini memaknai berbagai rangsangan yang mereka terima.
The Merdeka Curriculum tries to restore the paradigm of Indonesian education in accordance with Ki Hajar Dewantara's Educational Philosophy. Ki Hajar Dewantara's educational philosophy which upholds meeting the needs of students as the main goal of education. Fulfilling students' needs by optimizing their potential through the pamong and among systems is based on the motto Ing Ngarso Sung Tulodho, Ing Madya Mbangun Karso, Tut Wuri Handayani. These three mottoes will later be implemented in the Pamong and Among systems in Student Centered-based learning so that later there will be harmony between creativity, sense of initiative and character. The implementation of Ki Hajar Dewantara's educational philosophy is evident in the learning outcomes in vocational education in general subject matters and vocational subject matters. It is clear that the government's efforts to prepare students to become future generations are ready to compete in the coming era.
This study aimed to develop and test the acceptability and effectiveness of the psychoeducation model to decrease academic stress when learning from home (LFH). This research used a development research design, with two main objectives: developing the product and testing the effectiveness of the product. The instruments used were questionnaires on rating scales about aspects of product utility, feasibility, accuracy and also stress academic scale. Data analysis was carried out quantitatively and qualitatively. Quantitative data were analysed by descriptive statistical analysis, while qualitative data in the form of comments, suggestions and criticisms were analysed qualitatively. Based on the data analysis, it can be concluded that the psychoeducation model developed fulfils the acceptability criteria which includes utility, feasibility and accuracy. The developed psychoeducation model is effective in reducing academic stress among college students when LFH. The phenomenon of the number of bullying occurring in schools, needs serious attention. The results of the interview show that many counselors in high school do not know how to handle bullying victims who experience PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder). For this reason, counseling training for BK teachers is needed. The purpose of this community service is to increase the ability of high school counseling teachers in Surabaya in reducing PTSD triggered by bullying events by using traumatic counseling. The PKM method used is training with the steps of presenting the material, modeling, simulation, practice, and giving structured assignments. The number of participants in this PKM activity was 20 BK teachers at the Surabaya City High School. The results of the PKM implementation show that: the absorption capacity of PKM participants exceeds or is above the required minimum score. 2) Changes in participants' behavior in the affective aspect can be seen in changes in perceptions and attitudes that are getting better towards the training and show feelings of pleasure and interest and want to learn more about Traumatic Counseling. 3) Changes in participants' psychomotor abilities can be seen from the mastery of techniques and skills, namely the skills to identify PTSD. The score of counseling practice is 89. Based on the discussion, it can be concluded that there is an increase in the mastery of Traumatic Counseling training material, a change in perception and attitude that is getting better and there is a mastery of techniques and skills to identify PTSD as well as an increase in the score of the practice of traumatic counseling.
