Purpose: The purpose of this study was to determine the level of anxiety of third-trimester pregnant women in dealing with labor. Methods: This type of research is a descriptive study and analyzed with frequency distribution. The population was all pregnant women in the third trimester who were in the working area of the Mapane Community Health Center with a total of 37 people. The sampling technique used total sampling. The results showed that only 8.1% of pregnant women experienced mild anxiety, while 91.9% did not experience anxiety. pregnant women who experience mild anxiety are 20% in the risk age group, 20% with diploma education, 11.5% in mothers who do not work, 60% in primigravidas, and 15.8% in mothers who do not get support from their husbands. The coverage of exclusive breastfeeding at Puskesmas Tokorondo from 2018-2019 decreased from 50.8% to 28%. Lack of knowledge and intensive promotion of formula milk is one of the causes to low exclusive breastfeeding. The aim of this study was to discover the relationship between socio-economic factors and the level of knowledge of mothers about exclusive breastfeeding at the Puskesmas Tokorondo. This study using an analytical method with a cross-sectional approach. The number of population were 46 people that is mothers who have toddlers aged 6-12 months in the working area of Puskesmas Tokorondo. The sample in this study was 36 people, using consecutive sampling technique. Research shows that more exclusive breastfeeding is found on the low-educated mothers (60%), unemployed mothers (23.5%), high-income (50%), and well-informed (100%). There is a correlation between the knowledge level and exclusive breast-feeding (p= 0.001) while education (p= 0.217), work (p=1,000), and income (p= 0.436) has no relation to exclusive breast-feeding. It is hoped that health workers can be a source of information to the importance of exclusive breastfeeding for infant aged up to 6 months and after 6 months old. After six months, continued with the complementary feeding as well as continuing the breastfeed until the aged of 2 years, along with the support of the husband and particularly the family as an effort to increase the scope of exclusive breastfeeding.
The efforts to reduce maternal and infant mortality can be done by increasing the coverage and quality of maternal and child health services. One effort is made to bring health services closer to the community through the pregnant mothers class program. Pregnant woman class is a study group of pregnant women with gestational age between 4 weeks to 36 weeks with a maximum number of 10 participants. In this class, pregnant women will learn together, discuss and exchange experiences on overal maternal and child health, facilitated by midwives or health workers by using the class package for pregnant women, namely flip chart, guidelines for implementing classes of pregnant women, class facilitator’s handbook pregnant women, exercise books for pregnant women and books on maternal and child health (MCH). Based on the results of community service activities with participants of 40 pregnant women there was an increase in correct answers to all participants after participating in class activities for snakes ladderss of pregnant women. From the pre-test result it turns out that most of the results obtained were less than 60. This shows that the knowledge ability of pregnant women is still lacking. However, after holding the snakes ladder pregnant class, there was an increase in the knowledge of pregnant women with an increase in the post-test score point in the range between 21-30 (47.5%).
One of the government's efforts in empowering the community to reduce infant and under-five mortality rates, and improve health status in the community is to optimize the role of cadres in society. Thus, it is necessary to have activities that can increase the knowledge, attitudes and actions of cadres in monitoring infant growth, especially in filling out the Towards Healthy Card (KMS) chart. The purpose of this community service activity is to increase the knowledge, attitudes, and actions of cadres in filling out KMS charts for early detection of malnutrition and stunting. The target of this community service activity was posyandu cadres in the Kayamanya Health Center Work Area, Poso Kota District. The service method was carried out in several stages (1) pre-test before mentoring; (2) presentation of material on anthropometric measurements and filling out KMS charts; (3) exercise and practice of anthropometric measurements and chart filling; and (4) post-test after mentoring. This activity resulted in an increase in the average score of knowledge, attitudes and actions of cadres after being given assistance to cadres.
