This study discussed texts and images in Aquaman Movie using a multimodal discourse analysis by Kress and Van Leeuwen's (2006) theory. The objectives of this study are to find out how the texts and images modes are used in the movie and how is the meaning of the text related to the meaning of the image. This research used the descriptive qualitative method. The source of data in this study was taken from Aquaman Movie. The data was collected through downloading, reading the dialogue, watching, screenshotting, selecting and coding the data based on the theory Kress and Van Leeuwen (2006). The result found the text and image components are used to know and identify the meaning contained in the Aquaman movie, which aims to provide information to readers and viewers through the modes displayed in the movie. The texts and images mode explain each other’s meaning and show related and non-conflicting meanings so that, can be easily understood by the public. This research is intended to analyze texts, images, and music in Billie Eilish’s Bad Guy music video on youtube.com using a multimodal discourse analysis by Kress and Leeuwen. The objective of this research is to find out how the texts, images, and music modes are used and integrated meaning among them. This research used descriptive qualitative method. The researcher used a multimodal discourse analysis theory by Kress and Leeuwen (2006) to analyze the texts and the images, and the theory by Leeuwen (1999) to analyze the music. The source of data in this research taken from “Bad Guy” music video by Eilish’s YouTube account, and the secondary data taken from the notation sheet by musicnotes.com. The data were collected through downloading, copying, watching and screenshotting, and identifying the data based on the theory. While the techniques analyzed the data were presenting, describing, interpreting, making data display, and concluding. The researchers found that the selection and use of these modes are not only to create a work that is aesthetic and attractive to the audience but also to convey the message and ideology of the producer and composer through visuals.

This research is intended to analyze a news text entitled “Pakar Sebut Pemilih Prabowo Cenderung Beralih ke Sandi Ketimbang Anies” based on the Norman Fairclough’s Critical Discourse Analysis. This research aims to examine the construction of news about the Prabowo voters tend to switch to Sandi instead of Anies. The main data was obtained from CNN Indonesia.com. In analysing the data, researchers used Norman Fairclough analysis model that focuses on the three dimensions, namely text dimension, discourse dimension, and socio-cultural dimension. The results shown that the tendency of news texts to be more in favor of Sandiaga Uno, who is predicted to run in the 2024 presidential election. Through the news texts, the contrast of several parties is shown, which favors Sandiaga Uno. Furthermore, researcher assumed that news text is not only as a media for announcement, however news text as a social construction that is full of power that somehow can marginalized someone.

Di era pandemi seperti sekarang ini, semua profesi perlu dan mampu untuk beradaptasi dan beralih ke ranah daring untuk bisa tetap bertahan. Begitu pula profesi Interpreter. Kemampuan simultaneous interpretation jarak jauh perlu dimiliki. Artinya, seorang interpreter harus menerjemahkan lisan sebuah rapat, video konferensi, atau webinar yang diadakan di platform daring seperti Zoom, Teams, Google Meets, dan sebagainya. kegiatan Program Kemitraan Masyarakat (PKM) ini dilaksanakan dengan tujuan untuk memberikan kesadaran, minat, dan ketertarikan mahasiswa terhadap intepretring, mengembangkan potensi interpreting pada mahasiswa, dan memberikan pengetahuan tentang peluang dan tantangan dalam interpreting kontemporer. Metode yang diterapkan dalam sosialisasi adalah metode diskusi kelompok terarah.  Metode diskusi kelompok terarah (Focus Group Discussion) adalah bentuk diskusi yang didesain untuk memperoleh informasi keinginan, kebutuhan, sudut pandang, kepercayaan dan pengalaman peserta tentang suatu topik, dengan pengarahan dari seorang fasilitator atau moderator. Hasil dari kegiatan ini menunjukkan bahwa Permasalahan yang dihadapi oleh mitra yaitu, kurangnya sosialisasi tentang peluang dan tantangan dalam interpreting kontemporer dan  kurangnya pengetahuan mitra tentang peluang dan tantangan dalam interpreting kontemporer. Penggunaan piranti headset secara kontinyu bisa berpengaruh terhadap kesehatan pendengaran, burnout atau kelelahan fisik dan mental yang ekstrem akibat terlalu memforsir diri dalam bekerja, dan kehilangan Fokus dan Ketelitian.  Gagal fokus dan salah dalam menerjemahkan bisa berakibat fatal. Di samping itu, peluang seorang interpreter antara lain berdasarkan mode temporal kerja dibedakan atas Consecutive interpreting, Simultaneous interpreting, dan  Sight Interpreting.
