The objective of the research is to investigate the use of transitivity process in students' descriptive text and to find out the most dominant process of transitivity used. The data analyzed were 46 clauses taken from descriptive text written by six students of tenth grade of senior high school. In this research, the writers used descriptive qualitative method. The result of the research showed that there were 4 types of processes that occurred in the data, they were: material process (8, 70%), mental process (17, 39%), relational process (45, 65%), and existential process (28, 26%). While, behavioral and verbal process were not found. The most dominant process found was relational process. It implies that students were aware how descriptive text should be written, since one of language features in descriptive text is using clauses with relational process.
The aim of this study is to find out whether or not there is a significant difference between students who are taught by using peer response technique and those who are not taught by using peer response technique in writing descriptive text. This study used quantitative research method with quasi-experimental design. The population of this research was the 175 students of tenth grade at SMK Bandung Barat, while the sample was 26 students of X 2 Farmasi and X TLM. Writing test was used as the instrument of the study. The data were collected from the result of pretest and posttest. Then, the gain of both classes was analyzed by using t-test in SPSS. The result of the study showed that the mean of gain score in experimental class was 0.38 and the mean of gain score of students in control class was 0.22. It meant that there was difference in improvement between both classes. The hypotheses testing showed that sig. 2 tailed values (p) was 0.000 while alpha α was 0.05. In other words, p < α. It indicated that H0 was rejected. Therefore, it can be concluded that there is a significant difference between students who are taught by using peer response technique and those who are not taught by using peer response technique in writing descriptive text.Keywords: descriptive text; peer response technique; teaching; writing.
As a developing country, Indonesia has not been separated from the problem of poverty. Central Java is one of the provinces in Indonesia that has a high number of poor people in Indonesia. Even poverty in Central Java is still a strategic issue that cannot be completely resolved. This study was conducted with the aim of knowing the effect of the output of the agricultural sector, manufacturing industry, and the tourism sector on the number of poor people in Central Java in 2016-2020. This study uses secondary data using a panel regression model. The results of this study indicate that (1) the agricultural sector has a negative and significant effect on poverty in Central Java, (2) the manufacturing sector has an insignificant negative effect on poverty in Central Java, (3) the tourism sector has a negative and insignificant effect on poverty in Central Java, (4) the agricultural sector, the manufacturing sector, and the tourism sector together have a significant influence on poverty in Central Java in 2016-2020.
Bearing merupakan komponen yang sangat penting dalam suatu mesin karena berfungsi menumpu poros berbeban sehingga putaran poros dapat berlangsung secara halus dan aman. Karena bearing selalu bergerak, maka memiliki usia pemakaian hingga pada saatnya mencapai kondisi rusak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis beban dinamis, beban statis, dan usia pakai bearing pada roda belakang yang digunakan pada prototipe mobil listrik Teknik Mesin Universitas Pamulang. Bearing yang digunakan yaitu jenis bearing gelinding tipe 6204 ZZ dengan spesifikasi ketebalan bearing (B) = 14 mm, diameter luar bearing (D) = 47 mm, dan diameter dalam bearing (d) = 20 mm. Pada hasil dari analisis dan pengujian pembebanan bearing roda belakang pada prototipe mobil listrik didapatkan yaitu beban dinamis 2,5 kN, beban statis 1,6 kN, dan usia pakai bearing berdasarkan pengunaan jam kerja bearing yang berbeda dalam satu hari yaitu 2 jam selama 20,83 tahun, 4 jam selama 10,41 tahun, dan 8 jam selama 5,20 tahun. Usia pakai bearing dapat ditentukan dari beban yang diberikan, penggunaan jam kerja bearing dalam satu hari dan perawatan bearing.
