Indonesian teenagers are getting smarter and having higher achievements, yet experiencing disadvantage situation. Surveys revealed that their health knowledge/literacy and behavior are not getting better even though information access raising. Education (intra and extra curricula) is one of strongest strategy to intervene the fundamental problems. A rapid survey was conducted to assess abstinence and the need of sex education for adolescents in Jakarta and surrounding areas. Data were collected from 163 respondents interviewed at their schools or community. As much as 65% said they never had any kind of sexual activity (primary abstainers) and 81.6% said they need sex education with an offline (face to face) methode 47.8%. Adolescent’s sexual education in Indonesia is indeed an urgent need. An integrative and comprehensive sex education along with adolescent (and pre-adolescent) developmental stages, cultural, and religious values regarding the affect on future health should be undertake.
Abstract Background: Indonesia is projected to experience the peak of the demographic bonus in 2030. The demographic bonus can turn into a burden if adolescents who are successors are not qualified. Adolescent who are supposed to be 100% absent from sex actually showed an unsatisfactory proportion in several areas. Objective: This study aimed to describe abstinence behavior among adolescents at junior high school in South Tangerang City. Method: This study used a cross sectional design. The study population was junior high school students by selecting 25 junior high schools as the sample. The number of samples were 165 students who were taken incidentally. Data was collected from December 2019 to January 2020 by filling out a questionnaire through interviews. Result: The proportion of abstinence among junior high school students was 80%. The highest abstinence was occurred among adolescent boys and aged 12 years. Most of them carried out positive activities such as art, organization, regular worship, regular exercise, and courses. Most of them admitted that they did not feel seduced, coerced and threatened to have sexual activity. When a sensitive part of the body was touched, respondents acted assertively by refusing, shouting, and hitting. Conclusion: Sexual abstinence among adolescents at junior high school in South Tangerang needs to be increased. Understanding the importance of abstinence needs to be given to adolescents from the onset of puberty by parents, school environment (school organizations and PIKR) and community (religious organizations). Bonus demografi dapat berbalik menjadi beban apabila remaja yang menjadi penerus tidak berkualitas. Remaja yang seharusnya 100 persen absen seks justru menunjukkan proporsi yang tidak menggembirakan di beberapa wilayah. Tujuan: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran perilaku abstinensi pada remaja usia SMP di Kota Tangerang Selatan. Metode: Penelitian menggunakan desain cross-sectional. Populasi penelitian adalah remaja usia SMP dengan memilih 25 SMP sebagai sampel. Jumlah sampel sebanyak 165 siswa/siswi yang diambil secara insidentil. Pengumpulan data dilakukan pada Desember 2019 sampai Januari 2020 dengan pengisian kuesioner melalui wawancara. Hasil: Proporsi abstinensi seksual remaja SMP sebesar 80 persen. Abstinensi tertinggi dialami oleh remaja laki-laki dan usia 12 tahun. Sebagian besar melakukan kegiatan positif seperti seni, berorganisasi, rutin beribadah, rutin berolahraga, dan mengikuti seminar/kursus. Sebagian besar responden mengaku tidak pernah merasa dirayu, dipaksa dan diancam untuk melakukan aktivitas seksual. Apabila bagian tubuh sensitifnya disentuh responden melakukan tindakan asertif dengan menolak, berteriak, dan memukul. Kesimpulan: Abstinensi seksual remaja SMP di Tangerang Selatan harus ditingkatkan. Orang tua perlu menjaga dan mengawasi pergaulan anaknya. AbstrakTujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui perbedaan kemampuan penalaran matematis antara siswa yang menggunakan model Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) dengan siswa yang menggunakan model pembelajaran langsung. Jenis penelitian adalah eksperimen dengan metode penelitian quasi eksperimen dan desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah Posttest-Only Control Group Design. Teknik sampel yang digunakan adalah purposive sampling. Untuk melihat hasil penelitian tersebut, dilakukan uji normalitas data, lalu uji homogenitas dengan menggunakan standar deviasi dan rata-rata kelas sampel, kemudian dilakukan uji-t untuk mengetahui hasil perbedaan antar kedua kelas. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data, didapat kesimpulan bahwa: Terdapat perbedaan kemampuan penalaran matematis siswa yang belajar menggunakan model pembelajaran Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) dengan siswa yang belajar menggunakan pembelajaran langsung dengan rata-rata kelas eksperimen 93,75 lebih tinggi dari kelas kontrol yaitu 81,90. Research type is experiment with quasi experiment research method and research design used is Posttest-Only Control Group Design. The sample technique used is purposive sampling. To see the results of the study, the data normality test, and homogeneity test using standard deviation and the mean of the sample class, then t-test to determine the difference between two classes. Based on the results of data analysis, it can be concluded that: There are differences in students' mathematical reasoning ability to learn using Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) learning model with students who learn to use direct learning with an average experimental class of 93,75 higher than the control class of 81,90.
This study aims to examine and analyze the effect of integrated information systems, technological innovation, and e-business adoption on improving the performance of MSMEs in the manufacturing sector in Parepare City. The data collection method used a questionnaire that was distributed to 71 business actors using the purposive sampling technique. Members of the population as many as 103 samples consist of business owners and the marketing services. The data were analyzed using SEM from the AMOS version 23 application. The results showed that the integrated information system and technological innovation had a positive and significant impact on improving the performance of MSMEs in Parepare City through the adoption of e-business. Use of e-business as an intervening variable has a positive and significant effect on the performance of MSMEs. The implications of this research are expected to be able to contribute to the progress of research in the scope of management and have an impact on MSME actors, especially MSMEs in Parepare City, both trading and manufacturing, by increasing the ability to implement e-business in business processes that can encourage MSMEs to adapt to information systems that integration and innovation of new technologies. Abstract. Indonesia is experiencing a demographic bonus, and a good education and health situation will determine the quality of human resources so that this situation does not turn into a demographic burden or disaster. The Indonesian Adolescent Reproductive Health Survey shows the in-depth knowledge of adolescents about puberty, whereas adolescence is a golden period that will determine the quality of the next generation. This study aims to get a picture of the perception of teachers and students in particular about puberty and its relation to religion. The approach used is qualitative, data collected by conducting in-depth interviews with teachers, parents, and students. There were ten informants, consisting of teachers, parents, and students from 2 public and religious-based elementary schools in North Jakarta. In general, teachers have low knowledge / understanding of puberty, as well as students' knowledge. Most teachers have the perception that education about puberty in the classroom, according to the curriculum, turns out to be too vulgar so that some information is not conveyed to students. Religion is considered as the most reliable foundation in shaping student behavior. Teachers tend to hand over responsibility to religious teachers to deliver material on puberty, at religiously-based schools specifically mentioned teachers of fiqh. Teacher capacity building is needed regarding the material that must be taught, and it is delivery methods to suit the needs of students and have an impact on improving knowledge and improving behavior.Abstrak. Indonesia sedang mengalami bonus demografi dan situasi pendidikan dan kesehatan yang baik sangat menentukan kualitas sumber daya insani agar situasi ini tidak berbalik menjadi beban atau bencana demografi. Survei Kesehatan Reproduksi Remaja Indonesia memperlihatkan rendahnya pengetahuan remaja tentang pubertas, padahal masa remaja merupakan periode emas yang akan menentukan kualitas generasi berikutnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan mendapatkan gambaran persepsi guru dan peserta didik di khususnya tentang pubertas dan kaitannya dengan agama. Pendekatan yang digunakan yaitu kualitatif, data dikumpulkan dengan melakukan wawancara mendalam kepada guru, orang tua, dan peserta didik. Jumlah informan 10 orang, terdiri dari guru, orang tua, dan peserta didik dari 2 sekolah dasar umum dan berbasis agama di Jakarta Utara. Secara umum guru memiliki pengetahuan/pemahaman yang rendah tentang pubertas, demikian pula pengetahuan peserta didik. Kebanyakan guru memiliki persepsi bahwa edukasi tentang pubertas di kelas sesuai kurikulum ternyata dianggap terlalu vulgar sehingga sebagian informasi tidak disampaikan kepada peserta didik. Agama dianggap sebagai landasan paling diandalkan dalam membentuk perilaku peserta didik. Guru cenderung menyerahkan tanggung jawab kepada guru agama untuk menyampaikan materi tentang pubertas, pada sekolah berbasis agama disebutkan secara spesifik guru fiqih. Dibutuhkan pengembangan kapasitas guru tentang materi yang harus diajarkan dan metode penyampaiannya agar sesuai dengan kebutuhan peserta didik dan berdampak terhadap peningkatan pengetahuan serta perbaikan perilaku.
