This research was aimed to analyze the effect of interaction between guided inquiry learning and cognitive style on students' science learning achievement. This study was a quasi-experiment with a 2×2 factorial design. The study was done with the fifth grade students in Singaraja City. The sample was selected using multi stage random sampling and 4 elementary schools were selected for the experimental group (n=132) and another 4 for the control group (n = 107). The experimental group used guided inquiry learning and the control group used conventional teaching model. The study used science learning achievement test and MFFT cognitive style test as the instruments for collecting the data. The result of hypothesis testing showed that: 1) there is a significant difference in science learning achievement between those who learned with guided inquiry learning model and those who learned with conventional teaching; and 2) there is a significant effect of interaction between guided inquiry learning model and cognitive style on students' science learning achievement. Guided inquiry learning is more optimal in increasing students' learning achievement if it is implemented to students with reflective cognitive style than to those with impulsive cognitive style.
Rendahnya kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika menjadi permasalahan utama penelitian ini. Hal tersebut disebabkan kurangnya pendekatan pembelajaran yang efektif yang masih terpusat pada guru. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh Pendekatan Pendidikan Matematika Realistik Berbasis Open Ended terhadap Kemampuan Pemecahan Masalah Matematika Siswa Kelas V di Gugus V Kecamatan Buleleng. Jenis penelitian adalah eksperimen semu dengan rancangan non equivalen post test only control group design. Populasi penelitian adalah siswa kelas V SD di Gugus V Kecamatan Buleleng berjumlah 122 orang. Sampel penelitian adalah SDN 1 Petandakan sebagai kelompok eksperimen dan SDN 1 Nagasepaha sebagai kelompok kontrol, dengan random sampling teknik intact group. Data kemampuan pemecahan masalah dikumpulkan menggunakan instrumen tes berupa esai dengan jumlah pernyataan sebanyak 10 butir soal open ended. Data dianalisis menggunakan analisis statistik deskriptif dan statistik inferensial (uji-t). Berdasarkan analisis data, didapat thitung lebih besar dari ttabel (13,30 > 1,68) sehingga H0 ditolak dan H1 diterima. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan Pendekatan Pendidikan Matematika Realistik Berbasis open-ended berpengaruh terhadap Kemampuan Pemecahan Masalah Matematika Siswa Kelas V di Gugus V Kecamatan Buleleng.
This study aimed at finding out the effect of Treffinger creative learning model with RME principles on creative thinking skills by controlling numerical ability. This study was conducted to the fifth grade students of elementary schools in Manggarai regency using post-test only control group design of experiment. This study involved 101 fifth grade students as sample who were selected by using random sampling technique. The instruments were numeric ability test and creative thinking skill test. Data were analyzed by using ANCOVA aided by SPSS 23.0 program. The results showed that 1) the creative thinking skill of the students who learned mathematics Treffinger creative learning model with RME principles was higher than those who learned mathematics through conventional model, 2) the creative thinking skill of the students who learned through Treffinger creative learning model with RME principles was higher than those who learned through conventional learning model, after controlling numeric ability, 3) numeric ability gives a 33,2% contribution to the students' creative thinking skill. These findings show that Treffinger creative learning model with RME principles has a significant effect on the students' creative thinking skill. Mathematics teachers are suggested to employ this model in developing students' creative thinking skill.
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan hasil belajar IPA antara siswa yang mengikuti pembelajaran dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning dan siswa yang mengikuti pembelajaran konvensional pada siswa kelas V. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian quasi experiment dengan desain Non-equivalen Post-test Only Control Group Desain. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh kelas V SDN Gugus IV Kecamatan Banjar Tahun Pelajaran 2018/2019 berjumlah 139 siswa. Sampel pada penelitian ini diambil menggunakan teknik random sampling. Pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode tes. Data yang telah dikumpulkan dianalisis menggunakan statistik deskriptif dan inferensial uji-t independent (dengan beberapa asumsi terpenuhi). Berdasarkan ringkasan hasil Uji hipotesis dengan uji t berbantuan SPSS 25.0, diperoleh hasil bahwa signifikasi hasil belajar 0,002 < 0,05, ini berarti bahwa terdapat perbedaan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning berorientasi Tri Hita Karana terhadap hasil belajar IPA siswa kelas V semester II Gugus IV Kecamatan Banjar Tahun Pelajaran 2018/2019. Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan utama untuk mengetahui pengaruh problem based learning berbantuan media audio visual terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis dan hasil belajar IPA siswa. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas III gugus X Buleleng yang berjumlah 102 siswa dan sampel berjumlah 58 siswa. Penetapan sampel dilakukan dengan teknik random sampling. Penelitian ini merupakan quasi eksperimen dengan rancangan Nonequivalent Posttest Only Control Group Design. Teknik pengumpulan data kemampuan berpikir kritis menggunakan tes essay sedang data hasil belajar IPA menggunakan tes pilihan ganda. Data dianalisis menggunakan uji manova. Berdasarkan penelitian yang telah dilakukan dapat disimpulkan bahwa: 1) terdapat pengaruh pendekatan saintifik berbasis problem based learning berbantuan media audio visual terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis pada siswa kelas III di sekolah dasar; 2) terdapat pengaruh pendekatan saintifik berbasis problem based learning berbantuan media audio visual terhadap hasil belajar IPA pada siswa kelas III di sekolah dasar; dan 3) terdapat pengaruh pendekatan saintifik berbasis problem based learning berbantuan media audio visual terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis dan hasil belajar IPA secara simultan pada siswa kelas III di sekolah dasar.
