Artikel ini bermaksud untuk mendeskripsikan bagaimanakah penguasaan kompetensi profesional guru PPKn dan faktor apa yang mempengaruhinya. Penelitian yang dilaksanakan di Prodi PPKn FISH UNESA ini mengambil sampel 86 mahasiswa yang telah menyelesaikan Praktik Pengalaman Pembelajaran (PPP). Data dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan tes dan angket yang dikembangkan peneliti. Temuan penelitian ini mengungkapkan bahwa mereka memiliki kompetensi profesional guru yang cukup baik. Temuan ini konsisten dengan gambaran tentang sikap, minat, dan motivasinya serta pengalaman belajar yang juga berada pada kategori cukup. Kompetensi ini masih perlu diperbaiki, salah satunya dengan mengoptimalkan proses belajarnya.------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------This essay to describe the level of comprehension of professional competency among PPKn teachers and its factors influencing these competencies. Discourse on gender phenomena has always been an interesting topic. Various social studies are used to respond to gender phenomena and realities in society. The women's movement is expected to create a new awareness of gender equality that can lead to just social relationships. This article is based on research results that reveal the process of social cohesion among women's activist groups in Surabaya, especially on the issues raised in building an identity in a collective movement. According to Durkheim, collective identity is an important factor in developing the function of social integration. It can be seen from the collective activities that develop in groups. To understand the collective activities of the women's movement, it is important to know the main issues that they make reference to on the move. This is the main focus that will be stated in this article
Single mothers face problems not only because of their own status so they have to struggle hard to meet their needs, but also because of patriarchal social construction that presents many challenges to women. This qualitative research is aimed at revealing: the form of glass-ceiling for single mother and their strategies taken to deal with that. This research was conducted in Sidoarjo on five single mothers. Data were collected using in-depth interviews. The theory used is symbolic interaction because it allows researchers to identify research subjects. The results of this study reveal that the glass-ceiling faced by women are domestic responsibilities, sosial control, and underestimation of women. Strategies for dealing with it are sharing work and ignorant of negative responses. The response to the glass-ceiling depends very much on the way of thinking (mind) of women in seeing themselves. When women put themselves away as objects (me) that are powerless against the values that apply, then the choice of action to face the challenges of their lives (glass-ceiling) tends to be compromising and accommodating, whereas if the means adopted are based more on how to see themselves as subjects (I), then the method adopted tends to be uncompromising.
Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengungkap persepsi masyarakat Desa Gumeng terhadap pendidikan tinggi bagi perempuan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu metode penelitian kualitatif deskriptif. Informan dalam penelitian ini berjumlah delapan orang yang dipilih secara purposive sampling, dengan kriteria orang tua yang mempunyai anak perempuan yang melanjutkan pendidikan tinggi dan tidak melanjutkan pendidikan tinggi dengan perbedaan latar belakang antar informan dan bersedia untuk menyampaikan persepsinya terkait pendidikan tinggi bagi perempuan. Fokus penelitian yaitu persepsi orang tua terkait pendidikan tinggi bagi perempuan di Desa Gumeng. Pengumpulan data dilaksanakan selama satu bulan dengan menggunakan wawancara mendalam dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis data kualitatif interaktif menurut Miles dan Huberman yang mencakup pengumpulan data, reduksi data, penyajian data, verifikasi dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan beberapa persepsi terhadap pendidikan tinggi bagi perempuan. Keluarga kaya berpersepsi positif pada pendidikan tinggi bagi perempuan yaitu perempuan berpendidikan tinggi dapat meningkatkan derajat orang tua dan ibu yang berkualitas melahirkan anak yang berkualitas. Keluarga miskin berpersepsi negatif terhadap pendidikan tinggi bagi perempuan yaitu pendidikan tinggi adalah pemborosan bagi perempuan, risiko perawan tua bagi perempuan berpendidikan tinggi dan perempuan berpendidikan tinggi cenderung fokus pada pekerjaan.
