The havoc caused by the COVID-19 pandemic on hospitality businesses across the world affected the human resource skills of the industry to the extent that managers and industry experts are still finding difficult how best to upgrade the skills of their workforce and enhance their capability to withstand future disruptions. It is based on this problem that this research investigated the effect of human resource skill adjustment on the dynamic capability of hospitality businesses in sub-Saharan Africa post the COVID-19 work environment. The study employed cross-sectional survey design with a total population of two hundred and twenty participants drawn from sixty hospitality businesses in the south-eastern part of Nigeria. Formulated research hypotheses were analysed with linear regression. The results of the research demonstrated that human resource skill adjustment predicted the dynamic capability of hospitality businesses. The study concludes that human resource skill adjustment measured with upskilling and reskilling methodologies predicted the dynamic capability. The implication of the finding is that managers and operators of hospitality businesses should implement human resource skill adjustment in all the functional areas of their management to enable each section or department to attain its goals equally, and enhance the dynamic capability of the industry.
It is proved that a mandatory infrastructure elementfor international transport corridors, as well as for any large enterprise, is the availability of logistics complexes (warehouse). The expediency construction of logistics complexes with the help of modern metal structures and sandwich panels has been proved. The concepts of "logistics complex", "distribution center" and "logistics center" are analyzed. Classification of logistics centers by functional purpose and types of the most popular fast-growing logistics complexes by classes are given. Types of production processes in construction (design with the latest standards; professional approach combined with years of experience and availability of advanced construction technologies, modern equipment and advanced equipment; warranty obligations; free consultations) with management functions are characterized. It is substantiated project management system for the construction of logistics complexes, which takes into account the management functions (planning, organization, motivation, control) and includes such estimation indicators as construction costs and optimal location of the complex (by the criterion of minimum logistics costs). The logistics complex is characterized by following criteria: main purpose; localization factor; warehouse processing conditions of inventories; stored goods; degree of ownership. It is suggested to calculate the optimal localization of logistics complex using the coordinate method.
Introduction. At the present stage of the functioning of market relations is an urgent problem of the emergence of unforeseen risks that impede the effective operation of the enterprise, which carries out its activities in the field of intermediary services. Therefore, it is advisable to characterize the methods and principles of effective risk management in the intermediary activity, in order to identify and prevent the development of unforeseen situations in the enterprise in a timely manner. The purpose of this paper is to investigate the features of risk management of intermediary enterprises. Results. In order to manage the effective operation of the enterprise, the risk management features of the intermediary enterprises should be taken into account. Different types of risks affect the operation of the enterprise in different ways. The impact of the risks can be positive or negative. The source of threats is the negative factors that cause the economic security of the enterprise. The reasons for the emergence of risks in the mediation activity and possible ways of reducing the risks of the intermediary enterprise are indicated, among which are the following: warnings, diversification, insurance, reserves and others. The basic methods and principles of risk management of the intermediary enterprise are highlighted. The most appropriate method of ensuring the effective operation of intermediary firms is the transfer of risk control. Conclusion. The use of this study, with regard to the particularities of risk management, the basic methods and principles, will enable brokers to be more prepared for unforeseen situations and reduce the risk of reducing the level of intermediary services. The information may be useful for businesses that are interested in improving the efficiency of their activities and reducing the likelihood that their risks will be adversely affected.
Introduction. Under conditions of today the labor management system in the institution of higher education is tasked with finding new more effective forms of labor, how to increase the motivation of workers, material and moral interest of employees in work, reduce or even eliminate potential conflicts, how to ensure consistency in management personnel activities and performers, etc. Purpose. The purpose of the article is to investigate the features of ensuring efficiency of social and labor relations of university personnel during its outsourcing. Results. The features of ensuring the effectiveness of social and labor relations of the higher education institution personnel during its outsourcing are considered. The main problems that affect the effectiveness of social and labor relations during outsourcing the personnel of higher education institution are highlighted. The basic criteria and corresponding indicators of social and labor relations optimization and labor processes during outsourcing of the personnel of higher education institution are characterized: economic, social, psychophysiological, technical. It is noted that the results of this study may be useful to specialists dealing with the problems of increasing the efficiency of outsourcing and its use in higher education institutions under modern conditions. Conclusion. The effectiveness of social and labor relations during outsourcing the higher education institution personnel is defined as the aggregate usefulness and benefit of its implementation in relation to the additional costs of its implementation, as well as when comparing with the previous result of the activity. By its essence optimization of labor processes comes down to achieving complex of economic, social, psychophysiological and technical goals, about achievement level of which necessary to draw a conclusion on the basis of certain criteria. The concrete expression of these criteria through a system of empirical indicators needs further elaboration, so there is a need to develop the method for evaluating effectiveness of social and labor relations when outsourcing the higher education institution personnel.
