Teenagers experience a crisis of moral values such as honesty, justice, discipline, responsibility, wisdom, and fear of God. Teenager moral problems are a concern for parents, families, schools and society in general. Currently, the most important factor for students in schools is moral education. The presence of religious teachers in schools through Catholic religious education is very important for the moral development of students in dealing with this reality. This study aimed to determine the role of teachers in developing the moral values of class X and XI students at State Senior High School 1 Parbuluan. This study employs a qualitative methodology. Catholic Religious Education Teachers, Deputy Principals, and Students were interviewed for this study. The function of Catholic Religious Education Teachers in Developing Moral Values is to cultivate the spiritual, social, and behavioral attitudes of students. Teachers encourage and guide students to possess moral values like honesty, responsibility, justice, and discipline. Catholic teachers continue to have deficiencies in developing the moral values of their students, as evidenced by the fact that students are still tardy in entering and submitting assignments. Catholic teachers have not done their utmost to foster moral students, particularly in the application of honesty, responsibility, justice, and discipline. School conditions and situations have not maximally influenced the moral values of students. Recommendations for schools need to do character building education for students and moral education to become extra-curricular activities in schools.
The family is the first and foremost educator in terms of faith and noble values through the relationships that occur both between husband and wife, parents and children, and relationships between children. This study aims to find three concepts of parents as priests, prophets and kings. Researchers conducted qualitative research with the results of observations, interviews and documentation used by researchers to determine the implementation of the family as the household church of the parish of St. Peter and Paul Kabanjahe. The informants used were 15 families consisting of 15 parents and 15 children. The data analysis process uses technical triangulation and source triangulation. Based on the findings of the researchers, the implementation of the family as a household church has not been fully implemented due to a lack of family understanding of the real household church. In this case the family emphasizes physical life rather than spiritual life. The recommendation in this study is that it is necessary to carry out catechesis to build parents' understanding as a household church in children's education.

The purpose of this research is to find out how people understand the validity of marriage and the implementation of marriage validation for the validity of Catholic marriages in the Stasi Saint Paulus Sukanalu, Paroki Santa Perawan Maria Diangkat Ke Surga Kabanjahe. This research employs a qualitative approach. The informants in this research were KDPS, a valid Catholic spouse and illegitimate Catholic married couples. Marriage in the Catholic Church has three elements of validity: agreement, confirmation system and free status. The unfulfilled one of the elements results in the marriage being invalid and not recognized by the Church and to legalize it by accepting validation. The finding of this research is that people understand the elements of the validity of Catholic marriage but have not been able to apply validation to live as a member of the Church. Most of the people, especially the illegitimate spouses, still receive the right to be a Catholic even though they should not be accepted.
This article explores Umpasa and umpama of Batak Toba culture as a means of catechesim within Chatolic curches. The work uses qualitative methods with observation, interview and documentation. Descriptive analysis technique is employed based on the triangulation results of techniques and sources. The study targeted 20 adults, 3 Batak Toba cultural practitioners, and 2 priests and bishops who were on the island of Samosir Lake Toba. The work suggests that churches that live and develop today are based on tradition. Tradition is meant to include everything (such as customs, beliefs, habits, teachings, and so on) that is downwardly inhereited. One of the traditions of Batak Toba that is still preserved to this day is umpasa and umpama. This tradition is considered wise because it is used for prayers, petitioning God, and giving advices. Umpasa or umpa has always been used in the teaching of the Medan Catholic Church to the community of Batak Toba in Samosir and its surroundings and has truly become a model of church catechesis, not only by the society of Batak Toba but also as a model for catechism. The work is based on church studies within the Archdiocese of Medan.
