Dysmenorrhea consists in hypogastric pain in severe colic when menstruation occurs. This research aims to describe the influence of physical activity on dysmenorrhea in women. This is a cross-sectional and descriptive study that resulted in a sample of 59 women, in which social characteristics, presence of comorbidities, characterization of menstrual pattern and physical activity were investigated. The sample consists of women of about 25 years, preferably students, with few comorbidities and who had an extremely active sports life with the practice of multiple modalities. Most interviewees reported a positive relationship between physical activity and control of dysmenorrhea, this perception being more prevalent among women with moderate dysmenorrhea than among women with severe dysmenorrhea. Thus, it concludes the effectiveness of physical activity in mitigating the symptoms of dysmenorrhea.
Objective: To classify the gross motor function of children with CP assisted by a specialized rehabilitation center. Method: A cross-sectional, quantitative and descriptive study of the clinical and epidemiological profile of children with CP followed at the Center for Integrated Medical Care (NAMI), of the University of Fortaleza (UNIFOR), was carried out from August to November 2018. The sample consisted of children with a clinical diagnosis of CP. The clinical and socioeconomic variables: age, gender, pre and postnatal history, neuropsychomotor development, family income and government assistance were assessed through a clinical and socioeconomic questionnaire, respectively. In addition to these variables, the children's lower limb changes were assessed through inspection. The level of independence and functionality of the children was assessed using the GMFCS and the gross motor performance was assessed quantitatively using the GMFM.
This work proposes to evaluate the use of the Quiz as a facilitator of the learning of the contents of the Module Mechanisms of Aggression and Defense. The Quizzes were applied to 2nd semester students by the module's monitors. Each test was related to the content seen during classes, using the following instruments: Data-show, pen, analog clock and blank papers. Two Quizzes were applied, the first consisting of 20 questions, individual. The second made a dynamic in which students were divided into teams and each question was answered by all teams. At the end of each round, a group commented on the issue in order to confirm the learning. The use of quizzes as a didactic resource obtained significant acceptance by the participants, in addition to relevant observations such as: a good participation of the class in the two quizzes, most students participated in the resolution of their questions with elaboration of questions, a greater stimulus for the explanation of doubts about the content, and a dynamic review of various subjects. It was also notorious the good performance in the Cognitive Test (Module test) by the students who used the quiz as one of the teaching-learning instruments compared to those who did not participate in the tests. With that, it was possible to conclude that the quiz constitutes an important learning tool for immunology.
