This research was classroom action research that intended to improve student learning outcomes in Class X-1 SMA Negeri 1 Palangka Raya in Academic Year 2015-2016 on the dynamic electrical material. Dynamic electrical material in these research related to Ohm's Law and Electric Circuits Direct Current. The study consisted of two cycles, each cycle consisting of one meeting. Preliminary identification carried with the initial tests indicate that there are still many potential incorrect understanding of the concepts of voltage, electric current, and the concept of direct current electrical circuits.In the first cycle, learning outcomes showed that the average value was 72.35 and 85.29% of students reached the KKM. In these cycle still found students' understanding was wrong. In the second cycle, learning outcomes showed that the average value was 76.97 and 89.47% of students reached the KKM. In this cycle many students who has an understanding that got it right. It can be concluded that learning activities with the assistance of simultation PhET be able to improve student learning outcomes in Class X-1 SMA Negeri 1 Palangka Raya.Keywords: simulation media PhET, physical learning,dynamics electricity. AbstrakPenelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) yang dilakukan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa di Kelas X-1 SMA Negeri 1 Palangka Raya Semester Genap Tahun Ajaran 2015-2016 pada materi listrik dinamis. Materi listrik dinamis dalam PTK ini berkaitan dengan Hukum Ohm dan Rangkaian Listrik Arus Searah. Penelitian terdiri dari dua siklus yang masing-masing siklus terdiri dari satu kali pertemuan. Identifikasi awal dilakukan dengan tes awal menunjukkan bahwa masih banyak terdapat potensi pemahaman yang salah terhadap konsep-konsep tegangan, arus listrik, dan konsep rangkaian listrik arus searah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pada siklus I sebesar 85,29% siswa mencapai KKM, yaitu dengan rincian 29 siswa mencapai ketuntasan dan 5 siswa tidak tuntas. Nilai rata-rata pada siklus I sebesar 72,35. Namun demikian, pada pembelajaran siklus I, masih banyak siswa yang bertahan dengan pemahaman yang salah berkaitan dengan konsep tegangan listrik. Pada siklus II menunjukkan bahwa sebesar 89,47% siswa yang mencapai KKM dengan rincian sebanyak 34 siswa tuntas dan 4 siswa tidak tuntas dengan nilai rata-rata 76,97. Pada pembelajaran siklus II, banyak siswa yang sudah memiliki pemahaman konsep yang benar. Artinya, kegiatan pembelajaran dengan dibantu media PhET dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa di Kelas X-1 SMA Negeri 1 Palangka Raya.Kata-kata kunci: media simulasi PhET, pembelajaran fisika, listrik dinamis.
Abstract. The purpose of this study was to describe the results of the implementation of scientific learning on the topic of elasticity and Hooke's law relating to: (1) students 'science process skills and (2) students' learning outcomes completeness. This study was a pre-experimental study using a one-shot case study design. The research subjects were the 24 students of class XI MIA-4 in one of the senior high schools in Palangka Raya City. Based on the results of data analysis, the completeness of student learning outcomes in the topic of elasticity and Hooke’s law by applying scientific learning obtained that: (1) students science process skills with very good criteria amounted to 33% of students, with good criteria amounted to 50% of students, and with sufficient criteria amounted to 17% of students and (2) students classical completeness was as big as 75%. Keywords: Science process skills, completeness of learning outcomes, scientific learning, physics Abstrak - Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menggambarkan hasil implementasi pembelajaran saintifik pada topik elastisitas dan hukum Hooke yang berkaitan dengan: (1) keterampilan proses sains peserta didik dan (2) ketuntasan hasil belajar peserta didik. Penelitian ini merupakan sebuah studi pre-experimental menggunakan desain one-shot case study. Subyek penelitian adalah siswa kelas XI MIA-4 di salah satu SMA di Kota Palangka Raya dengan jumlah peserta didik 24 orang. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data, ketuntasan hasil belajar peserta didik pada topik elastisitas dan hukum Hooke dengan menerapkan pembelajaran saintifik diperoleh hasil: (1) Keterampilan proses sains peserta didik dengan kriteria sangat baik berjumlah 33%, kriteria baik 50% peserta didik, dan kriteria cukup baik 17% peserta didik. Abstract. Learning science in schools could be very "challenging" for the teachers since they have to implement scientific learning which focuses on student-centered as much as possible. This research was oriented on a scientific approach in which related to process skills and student learning outcomes. The pre-experimental research used a one-shot case study design. The research was conducted on VIII-A class at one of the state junior high schools in Palangka Raya. The data collection techniques were observation and written tests. The results showed that: (1) there were 40% of students who had science process skills in the very good category, 44% in the good category, and 16% in the fair category; (2) there were 73.33% of the students who had achieved the learning outcomes mastery. The application of the scientific approach had positive impact on science process skills and student learning outcomes. However, another interesting finding was that the students still had difficulties in linking the material being studied with everyday reality.Keywords: science learning. scientific approach, process skills.Abstrak. Pembelajaran IPA di sekolah sangat “menantang” guru sedapat mungkin mengimplementasikan pembelajaran saintifik yang berpusat pada peserta didik. Penelitian ini berorientasi pada pendekatan saintifik, kaitannya dengan keterampilan proses dan hasil belajar peserta didik. Penelitian pre-experimental design ini menggunakan one-shot case study. Penelitian dilakukan pada peserta didik kelas VIII-A pada salah satu SMP Negeri di Palangka Raya. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah observasi dan tes tertulis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan: (1) Sebanyak 40% peserta didik memiliki keterampilan proses sains dengan kategori yang sangat baik, 44% dengan kategori baik, dan 16% dengan kategori cukup baik. (2) Sebanyak 73.33% peserta didik telah mencapai ketuntasan hasil belajar. Penerapan pendekatan Saintifik berdampak positif terhadap capaian keterampilan proses sains serta hasil belajar peserta didik. Namun demikian, temuan menarik lainnya adalah peserta didik masih kesulitan mengaitkan materi yang dipelajari dengan realita sehari-hari.Kata kunci: pembelajaran IPA. pendekatan saintifik, keterampilan proses.
