This article deals with theoretical options for the study of determiners , then shows that object classes are relevant for analysing the distributional constraints on determiners. The class of nouns expressing diseases is examined as an example.
We present an inventory of grammatical meanings that can be expressed by support verbs. These meanings concern basically the quantification, the aspects and several types of relationships between enunciation and utterance. We argue for the usefulness of such a description in automatic translation Spanish-French.
We study a determiner of French LE_MODIF when MODIF is obligatory and when it is not an adjective. We listed approximately 400 nouns which are compatible with this determination. We show how the semantic characterization of these nouns in terms of classes of objects can explain the different morphological and syntactical features of the constructions where they appear simultaneously with LE_MODIF.

O artigo objetiva estabelecer a dimensão cultural da fraseologia em relação à expressão de quantidade. Quando é subjetiva, a codificação da quantidade é mais frequentemente baseada em unidades fraseológicas, na maioria das vezes, marcadas culturalmente. O artigo analisa sequências determinantes do valor quantificador para mostrar a dimensão cultural da fraseologia quando aplicada à determinação. O conceito de fraseologia é então usado para fundamentar os dados estudados.
