This study aims at describing a formation, reference, and background of taboo language within the society of Ternate. This study employed qualitative design research. To obtain the data, this study employed observation, interview, and questionnaire. The results of this study demonstrate that (1) taboo language occur within society of Ternate are in the form of root word, derivative word, word repetition, phrase, and clause; (2) taboo language also occur in the form of synonym, particularly Ternate Local Language (BDT) and Ternate Malayan Langauge (BMT). The tendency of the individual in using swearing words is not based on acquired language, except, the individual aims at generating a certain expression based on the emotion. (3) It confirms that there are several swearing words predominantly utilized within the youth, the adult, and elderly; (4) It also confirms that the taboo language is directed to other people and the speaker her or himself. (5) Predominantly, the speaker refers to animal, plant, and human body's part to taboo; (6) It confirms that there is a code-mixing between Ternate Local Language (BDT) and Ternate Malayan Language (BMT) as well as Indonesian Language (BI) and Ternate Malayan Language (BMT); (7) It further argues that taboo language is common to close friends or relatives or both speaker and hearer have the same age. On the other hand, it is considered as rude if the speaker and hearer have no social relationship or both have a different age. To sum up, taboo language is commonly employed by both speaker and hearer with the same age and possess close relationship.
Learning is an activity that is very important to carry out, especially for high school students. In practice, the student’s motivation often determines success in learning. Therefore, high school students’ motivation needs to be increased to study well. The researcher was then interested in seeing how high school students’ perceptions of teacher quality and learning environment affect their motivation to learn. This research will be carried out using a descriptive qualitative approach. The data to be used in this study comes from various research results and previous studies, which still have relevance to the discussion in this study. The results of this study then found that teacher quality can increase learning motivation for high school students. This is because a good teacher will make it easier for high school students to understand what they are learning, so learning motivation will increase even higher. Then a good learning environment can also increase high school students learning motivation. This is because, with a few distractions, students can focus on learning well. The learning process at home through e-learning often causes a learning environment full of distractions, so high school students learning motivation decreases extensively.
The purpose of this research is to find out aspects of character education for the Pelita Jaya village community in the Bakayab Hai tradition. This research uses qualitative research with descriptive analysis approach. The type of data used in this research is secondary data. The results of this study indicate that the Bakayab Hai tradition is one of the traditions of the Sula community which is always carried out in a series of wedding events. This tradition is one of the traditions of the people of Pelita Jaya Village in the Sula Islands, North Maluku. The purpose of this research is to describe the characters contained in the Bakayab Hai tradition. Data collection techniques used are interviews and documentation. The results show that the Bakayab Hai tradition reflects the character of the Pelita Jaya village community, including religious, togetherness, and social care.Keywords: Character Values, Bakayab Hai Tradition AbstrakTujuan penellitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui aspek pendidikan karakter masyarakat desa Pelita Jaya yang ada dalam tradisi Bakayab Hai. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa tradisi Bakayab Hai adalah salah satu tradisi masyarakat sula yang selalu dilakukan dalam rangkaian acara pernikahan. Tradisi ini adalah salah satu tradisi masyarakat Desa Pelita Jaya yang berada di Kepulauan Sula Maluku Utara. Tujuan dilakukan penelitian ini untuk mendeskripsikan karakter yang terkandung dalam tradisi Bakayab Hai. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah wawancara dan dokumentasi. AbstrakAnalisis nilai pragmatik cerita rakyat suku sasak "Tiwoq-Iwoq" dilatarbelakangi oleh beberapa faktor yaitu upaya pengenalan sastra rakyat yang semakin berkurang, keberadaan cerita rakyat yang mulai ditinggalkan akibat banyaknya cerita-cerita yang bermunculan dan merosotnya nilai moral di kalangan generasi muda. Tujuannya adalah untuk mengetahui nilai-nilai pragmatik yang ada pada cerita rakyat suku sasak "Tiwoq-Iwoq". Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Metode yang digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data dalam penelitian ini adalah studi pustaka, dokumenter, observasi, dan pencatatan. Sedangkan metode analisis data yaitu pragmatik. Berdasarkan hasil dan pembahasan dapat disimpulkan bahwa cerita rakyat suku sasak "TiwoqIwoq" mengandung nilai-nilai pendidikan meliputi moral, sosial, dan religius.
This paper reveals the role of parents in their children's learning through systems in the network in a covid pandemic 19. The purpose of this study is that the purpose of this study is to determine what roles and contributions have been made and can be done when their children carry out online learning activities. In addition, this research can also describe what is being faced by parents in the midst of a covid-19 pandemic in accompanying their children. The approach and method used in this study uses a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. The findings obtained include the fact that parents face directly when accompanying their children to implement a learning system in the network, the child's response in learning in the network and the analysis of researchers using the theory of sociology. This study concludes the family in mentoring online learning in the covid-19 pandemic as the main spearhead in carrying out a role in encouraging children's enthusiasm for learning.Keywords: Roles, Parents, Online Learning,Technology, Covid 19, Education. AbstrakTulisan ini mengungkap peran orang tua dalam pembelajaran anaknya melalui sistem dalam jaringan di masa pandemi covid 19. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui peran dan kontribusi apa saja yang telah dilakukan dan dapat dilakukan ketika anak anak-anak melakukan kegiatan belajar online. Selain itu, penelitian ini juga dapat mendeskripsikan apa yang sedang dihadapi orang tua di tengah pandemi covid-19 dalam mendampingi anaknya. Pendekatan dan metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Temuan yang diperoleh antara lain fakta bahwa orang tua berhadapan langsung saat mendampingi anaknya menerapkan sistem pembelajaran dalam jaringan, respon anak dalam pembelajaran dalam jaringan dan analisis peneliti menggunakan teori sosiologi. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan keluarga dalam pendampingan pembelajaran online di masa pandemi covid-19 sebagai ujung tombak utama dalam menjalankan peran dalam mendorong semangat belajar anak.Kata kunci: Peran, Orang Tua, Pembelajaran Daring, Teknologi, Covid 19, Pendidikan.
