Teacher in the learning process is not only required to make up the pattern of student centered learning. Teaching materials are interesting, creative, and innovative needs to be done, so that learning is not monotonous and students can apply a skill that is used when it works or not.Skills in question are life skills for someone tu run his life wherever located.This research carried out in Utama secondary schools with the number of 20 people, precisely at the semester begins March to June 2015. The goal of making teaching materials to facilitate teachers in delivering the curriculum in the classroom where the material does not expect 2013 to be receiving only. Value life skill that is found in teaching materials teacher Utama Junior High School consists of skills: Thinking Skills(8,3%), manage skills (16,7%), related skills ( 25%), care skills (8,3%) gives skills (16,7%), working skills ( 25%).
Latar belakang penelitian ini berawal pada bervariasinya tulisan pada kemasan permen KIS. Tulisan itu berupa variasi frase yang menarik. Bertitik dari hal tersebut, peneliti berupaya untuk menganalisis frase endosentris dan eksosentris pada kemasan permen KIS sebagai bahan ajar mata kuliah Linguistik Umum. Tujuan penelitian ini (1) untuk menganalisis dan memperoleh gambaran yang jelas mengenai frase endosentris dan eksosentris pada kemasan permen KIS, (2) sebagai bahan ajar mata kuliah Linguistik Umum . Metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif dengan teknik Conten Analysis. Frase endosentris yang peneliti temukan adalah endosentris atributif, 22 temuan (78,6%), endosentris zero 3 temuan (10,8), endosentris koordinatif 1 temuan (3,6%), endosentris atributif klitikal 1 temuan (3,6%). Frase eksosentris yang ditemukan adalah eksosentris nondirektif, 1 temuan (3,6%).
The purpose of this study is to analyze and describe or obtain a clear picture of grammatical cohesion consisting of references, substitutions, ellipsis, and conjunctions in the essays of Indraprasta PGRI University students. This study used descriptive qualitative method. In this study the fact of language is in the form of discourses in essays with a focus on the study of grammatical cohesion analysis. The methode used in this researched inquired methode with notes-taken technique, which mean the researcher recorded the data that was considered appropriate in the study of cohesion analysis and discourse coherence in student essays. The technique used is to analyze based on one-to-one relationships with other sentences in the essay. The data source used is a student essay in the Literature Psychology course, there are 30 student essays taken as research data. The results of this study indicate that the grammatical cohesile device is; reference 46 with a percentage of 24.1%, substitution 5 with a percentage of 2.6%, ellipsis 8 with a percentage of 4.2% and conjunctive relations 132 with a percentage of 69.1%. Based on this, from 30 essays written by students there are 191 numbers of grammatical cohesion tools used.Key Words: student essay, tool for grammatical cohesion, conjungsion
