Remaja yang sejahtera secara psikologis akan tumbuh menjadi individu dewasa yang berfungsi secara optimal. Penelitian kesejahteraan psikologis remaja di Indonesia saat ini pada umumnya masih menggunakan alat ukur yang dikonseptualisasi dari subjek dewasa yang berada pada budaya Barat, yang berpotensi menjadi bias. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan alat ukur kesejahteraan psikologis remaja berdasarkan konseptualisasi dari subjek remaja di Indonesia. Menggunakan rancangan exploratory sequential mixed methods, penelitian ini dilakukan melalui dua tahap; yaitu tahap penelitian kualitatif diikuti dengan tahap penelitian kuantitatif. Tahap penelitian kualitatif ditujukan untuk mengkonseptualisasi kesejahteraan psikologis remaja sebagai tahap pertama dari pengembangan alat ukur kesejahteraan psikologis remaja, dengan menggunakan teknik wawancara dan focused group discussion. Hasil penelitian kualitatif menunjukkan bahwa konsep kesejahteran psikologis remaja usia 12-15 tahun terdiri dari 10 dimensi: afek positif, afek negatif, kepercayaan diri, hubungan positif, orientasi masa depan, pengembangan diri, pengelolaan emosi negatif, tanggung jawab, kemampuan menyelesaikan masalah dan harmoni. Pada tahap kuantitatif, disusun alat ukur berdasarkan kesepuluh dimensi tersebut. Alat ukur diujicobakan sebanyak dua kali, pada 494 dan 297 remaja usia 12-15 tahun. Alat ukur terdiri dari 38 item yang mengukur kesepuluh dimensi, memiliki reliabilitas (α = 0,873) dan validitas konstruk (RMSEA= 0,075; GFI = 0,91; CFI = 0,93; NNFI = 0,91; IFI = 0,93) yang baik.
Parenting goals can be seen as representatives of value in a society, since family are one of the important unit of socialization for children. What is perceived as important or unimportant to a society will be socialized in the family. Since value, belief and culture can differ from society to society, then the knowledge of parenting in a particular society needs to be studied. There are limited study about family and parenting practices in south East Asian countries. This study was aimed to describe parenting goals among Moslem parents in Bandung, Indonesia. One hundred and four parents was participated in present study. The mean age of mother was 36.57 (SD= 4.92, range 25-52). The mean age of father was 39.17 (SD=7.31, range 26-71). The participants comes from various background (ethnicity, educational background, stage of family development). Open ended question about parenting goal they want to achieve was given, the participants may write more than one answer. 334 answer then recorded and coded by theme (thematic analysis) through two stages. The data analyzed using manual technique, then calculated by its percentage. The results showed that religious qualities (sholeh / sholehah and perform religious obligations) founded as a prominent parenting goal. Relational qualities (such as socialization skills, respect for parents and others, tolerance, sharing and empathy) are not so prominent compared to the personal qualities
Introduction: These days, online game addiction phenomenon has increased, especially among middle school adolescences. Therefore, a prevential treatment is needed to avoid their addiction getting worse. One of the way is by strengthening adolescence' self-control in playing online game. Purpose: The aim of this study was to determine the effect of "Self Management Strategy" training to improve selfcontrol in adolescences with moderate level online game addiction. Methods: This study used quasi experiment with A-B-A reversal design. The intervention was done by giving training that used behavior modification basic principle. Measurementof self-control was done in every phase A (when there are no treatment) and B (when treatment was given). Results: According to the data obtained, there was an improvement found in self-control score in two respondents before and during the treatment given. Conclusion:Self management strategy training can improve self control in adolescence with moderate level online game addiction.
