Land changes in urban areas are a common thing. Along with the increase in economic activity, the population also increased and resulted in changes in land use. This results in uncomfortable, unsafe and inefficient urban conditions. This problem can be anticipated by predicting changes in land cover, from the result of prediction of landcover, the direction of urban growth will be known. The purpose of this research is to analyse and modelling land use changes and to predict the urban growth. One methodology for modelling land cover is to use the Cellular Automata model. Using land cover data from Landsat Satellite Imagery in 1999 and 2009, it can predict that land cover in 2019 until 2031, after calculating the validity value using a kappa accuracy test of 0.79. Results of the model are that development of the city of Cirebon leads to the southern part of the District of Harjamukti. It happens because, in the area of Harjamukti District, there is a lot of lands that can convert into developed land.
Cikole Village, Lembang Sub-district, West Bandung District is a distaster-prone area, since it is located on Lembang fault, an active tectonic. The village has population density around 879 people/ sq. km and the majority of them are vegetable growers, therefore most of their time is spent in agriculture land. National Disaster Management Authority (BNPB) through Government Regulation (PP) number 2 year 2018 regarding Minimum service standards for disaster management requirements, issued indicators for assessing disaster resilient villages. Due to the potential of disaster, then it is necessary to describe the community's knowledge of their preparedness to become a disaster resilient village. The aim of this study is to describe the phenomenon of disaster preparedness indicators based on gender. The method used qualitative study with rationalistic approach from the grand concept of resilient village published by BNPB. Data were collected from questionnaire distribution and were analyzed with descriptive statistics. The result shows there is a different readiness between men and women in Cikole village, therefore it is necessary to establish a local community forum as a pillar of the Disaster Resilient Village. Keywords: Cikole Lembang, Disaster Resillient Village, GenderAbstrak.
The COVID 19 outbreak has brought many changes to the order of human life. One is affected that life in an urban area. The metropolitan area that is usually crowded with human activity changes drastically to the empty urban. This phenomenon happened because many cities apply the lockdown policy to reduce the spread of COVID-19. This lockdown policy reduces the activity of transportation and industry, causing changes in air quality in the urban area. This study aims to see how much the impact of lockdown policy on air quality in 4 major cities in Indonesia, which is: Jakarta, Medan, Balikpapan, and Makasar. The method that used in this research is using Remote Sensing data by extracting Sentinel Satellite Image data, which produces air quality data, namely data NO2 levels in the air, then comparing the distribution of NO2 in the air between the year 2019 and 2020, and comparing data NO2 concentration in each month in 2020. Form the result of the spatial analysis of Sentinel Image Satellite data, during the lockdown policy in the year 2020 was implemented, the NO2 level in Jakarta significantly changed positively, the NO2 levels in the air decreased compared to the year 2019. For cities outside Jakarta, there has been a decrease in NO2, but the change that occurred is not significant. From this research, it can be seen that the lockdown policy during COVID-19 has improved the air quality in major cities in Indonesia.
