Aceh is one of the provinces that paves the way for the Islamic development in Indonesia. Therefore, Aceh has a strong Islam preaching and becomes the center of science. Innovations made in Islamic knowledge with government policies in managing zakat funds collected from the community-made Aceh are through the BAZNAS in provincial level namely Baitul Mal Aceh; one of the BAZNAS with highly effective Allocation to Collection Ratio (ACR) levels. Baitul Mal Aceh has a superior program aiming at making Mustahik into Muzzaki consisting of education, health assistance, and economic empowerment programs. This research was conducted to see the effect of Zakat, Infaq, Shadaqah (ZIS) through Economic Growth, Education, Health, and HDI on Poverty in Aceh. The method used in this research was Structural Equation Model-Partial Least Square (SEM-PLS). The results revealed the direct effect of ZIS on Economic Growth, Health, and HDI, as well as the total indirect effect of ZIS on Economic Growth and Poverty in Aceh. The results also showed that the effect of ZIS through Health and HDI on Economic Growth and the effect of ZIS through HDI on Poverty in Aceh.
Abstract Purpose – This study aims to analyze the effect of financial ratios on profitability at conventional commercial banks in Indonesia. Methods – This study uses time series data for conventional commercial banks in the period January 2010 to December 2018. The data analysis process in this study uses the Autoregressive Distributed Lag (ARDL) approach. Findings – The results of this study indicate that the BOPO, NPL and NIM variables affect the profitability of conventional banks for the short and long term. Implication – Banks must efficiently manage operational costs and maintain the level of the NPL ratio in a predetermined range so that it will have an impact on increasing profitability. Originality – This study contributes to the conventional banking profitability analysis by analyzing the bank's internal factors and using the Autoregressive Distributed Lag (ARDL) approach.
This study aims to determine the potential of creative industries for people with disabilities in Yogyakarta. By gathering data from small and medium industries (IKM), creative industries, documents, interviews, and using qualitative description approach as a method of analysis, this research finds at least five important results. Firstly, people with deaf-mute condition and physical disability can work on all types of creative industries, but mental disability and mental-physical disability can only work on certain types of industry. Secondly, craft industry is the most widely sector for people with disabilities to earn more income. Thirdly, Bantul and Gunungkidul provide many jobs opportunities in creative industries compared to other districts.
