The quality of teacher learning practices currently continues to be improved through various training programs, mentoring, and evaluations from Indonesian government support. The 21st-century teacher's ability to develop learning technology is a cooperative learning approach and multidisciplinary integration of science to solve surrounding problems. This study describes the effectiveness and benefits of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) in the Automotive Engineering Competency with the Engineering Design Process (EDP) approach in the "motorcycle burglary case studies." This research is a type of pre-experimental design in the form of a pretest-posttest group design. The purposive sampling technique was carried out to find out the sample of students in one of the vocational schools Yogyakarta, Indonesia in 2019. The results showed that (1) the assessment of lesson plan in the form of review and supervision was declared complete; (2) aspects of the STEM-EDP assessment consist of formative tests, the 1st Student Worksheet, the 2nd Student Worksheet, and Products which stated in the seven stages of EDP; (3) Wilcoxon test, Z = -4.86 with significance (p) = 0.00 <0.05, illustrates that STEM-EDP is effective than summative learning, and can improve learning.

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian survei yang dilakukan di Program Pascasarjana Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (PPs UNY) dengan responden berjumlah 74 orang. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan angket. Teknik analisis data menggunakan teknik analisis statistik deskriptif. Hasil penelitian dijelaskan sebagai berikut. 1) Faktor penghambat publikasi karya ilmiah pada jurnal internasional terindeks bersumber dari faktor eksternal yaitu kesibukan kerja, besarnya biaya, terbatasnya langganan jurnal cetak, terbatasnya langganan jurnal online, dan terbatasnya akses jurnal cetak. 2) Harapan Mahasiswa PPs UNY untuk meningkatkan produktivitas publikasi karya ilmiah dalam jurnal internasional terindeks yaitu perbaikan dan peningkatan dalam sosialisasi, akses informasi dan layanan, pelatihan penulisan dan bahasa Inggris, bantuan alih bahasa secara gratis, menjalin kerjasama dengan berbagai pihak, serta langganan jurnal online dan cetak. The focus of this research is the skills learning model used by teachers, especially those who teach practical subjects. In accordance with the purpose of vocational education which says that graduates from vocational high schools are graduates who are ready to work in the industrial and business world. The purpose of this study is to describe the skills learning model strategy used by teachers when Covid-19 hit Indonesia. The research method used is a qualitative research method with a descriptive approach. Collecting data using observation, interviews, and documentation. The results obtained are: (1) teachers who teach subjects related to the practice of getting obstacles and difficulties because online learning is very influential on internet networks, (2) teachers only use online learning models using video learning media, so that the teacher only sends a learning link to students via WhatsApp Class group, (3) some students experience difficulties in learning online because the internet signal or network is not always good. (4) with the covid-19 all learning in schools is required online, so that teachers must be proficient in using technology.

The electrical topic is considered a difficult material because electricity is a substance that is not seen but can be felt. The objectives of this study were (1) to develop digital textbooks for basic electricity materials based on problem-based learning. (2) to analyze the feasibility of digital textbook products for basic electricity materials based on problem-based learning. This research is development research using the 4D model, namely define, design, develop, disseminate. This study involved language, material, and media experts in validating research products. The research subjects were students of technical engineering vocational education in one of the public universities in Indonesia who took Basic Electrical and Electronics courses, namely 25 students. The data collection technique used interviews, document analysis, and questionnaires. The data analysis technique used descriptive statistical analysis. Based on the results of the research, it is found that (1) the development of digital textbooks on basic electricity materials based on problem-based learning is carried out by referring to the 4D model development steps, namely define, design, develop, and disseminate. (2) The appropriateness of digital textbooks according to the media expert's assessment of getting a mean score of 3.61 is declared very good, the material expert's assessment is 3.52, which is declared very good, and the user response gets an assessment of 3.51, which is declared very good. Theoretically, the developed digital textbooks are able to increase student interest and motivation to learn basic electrical materials in an easy way.
