This research aim to know empowerment community of fisherman in Margasari village, Labuhan Maringgai, Lampung Timur. It affected the improvement life quality of the community of fisherman, through participation that means they realized development activity did not only about Government either community participation for quality improvement. This research is field research. Method research that is used in this research is the qualitative approach. Analysis of data used was qualitative with the conclusion of data used inductive. This research indicates that the empowerment level in this village is very low because fisherman did not include in empowerment activity. Most of the fishermen need to be empowered but need a strategy that involved not only one step of implementation but also planning, implementation, until evaluation.
Learning activities are an effort to improve the quality of education. The learning process is carried out in order to achieve competent human resources. Various ways are done to achieve the results as expected, one of which presents various forms of learning resources so that stud ents gain experience that can improve their own quality. Learn one source of learning for students who study science/biology, namely the environment / open environment. One of the outdoors that can be used as a learning resource is the river. This study aims to describe the use of nature as a source of learning. The object of this research is the 38B Banjarrejo river, the study was conducted by observing the state of the river. The research results are in the form of descriptions. It is known that the 38B Banjarrejo river has potential usefulness to be used as one of the learning resources for junior high school / MTs students in Metro City. The use of the river as a learning resource can be used as a process of training problem-solving skills and can improve the character abilities of students by looking at the state of the surrounding environment that requires handling problems.
Lokakaraya dan pelatihan pembuatan preparat biologi bagi guru-guru SMA bertujuan untuk melatih guru-guru membuat preparat awetan biologi yang penting dalam pelaksaaan praktikum biologi di sekolah. Khalayak sasaran dari pengabdian ini adalah guru-guru SMA biologi di Lampung Timur. Kegiatan pengabdian telah dilaksanakan pada tanggal 15 Oktober 2019 yang bertempat di Laboratorium SMA Negeri 1 Way Jepara, dengan diikuti oleh 26 orang peserta guru biologi SMA. Hasil evaluasi diperoleh hasil dan manfaat dari kegiatan pengabdian ini diantaranya adalah meningkatkan keterampilan guru- guru SMA dalam pembuatan preparat smear darah dan preparat awetan biologi sebagai media pembelajaran biologi. Kegiatan diharapkan kelak dapat membantu guru-guru biologi dalam mengembangkan media pembelajaran IPA sehingga mutu pembelajaran IPA dapat lebih meningkat.Workshop and Training on Making Biology Preparations for High School Teachers in East LampungAbstractThe workshop and training in making biological preparations for high school teachers aims to train teachers to make biological preparations that are important in the implementation of biology practices in schools. The target audience for this service is high school biology teachers in East Lampung. The dedication activity was carried out on October 15, 2019 which took place at the State High School Laboratory of 1 Jepara, with 26 participants participating in the high school biology teacher. The evaluation results obtained the results and benefits of this service include increasing the skills of high school teachers in making blood smear preparations and biological preservation preparations as media for learning biology. The activity is expected to be able to help biology teachers in developing science learning media so that the quality of science learning can be improved
Learning biology emphasizes providing direct learning experiences to develop science process skills that should ideally be studied scientifically. The problem underlying this study is the lack of science process skills and poor student learning outcomes. In an effort to overcome these researchers used a model of experiential learning to enhance the learning of science process skills and student learning outcomes, so that students are directly involved in discovering and understanding yourself. This study aims to improve science process skills and learning outcomes biology students using experiential learning model learning in class VIIA SMP Negeri 1 Aji building totaling 32 students. This research is Classroom Action Research (CAR) with 2 cycles each consisting of 3 sessions. Data science process skills acquired by students using observation sheet at each meeting, and student learning outcomes data obtained by giving a test at the end of each cycle. The results showed that: 1) the biology of learning using experiential learning model learning improve science process skills VIIA graders of SMP Negeri 1 Aji Building Academic Year 2012/2013 on materials Characteristics Being of Life. For the average percentage of students 'science process skills in pre-PTK by 24.19% after learning with experiential learning instructional model the average percentage of students' science process skills in the first cycle to the second cycle increa sed by 11.46% and has reached the target researchers that the percentage of 60% ≤ M ˂ 80% or higher qualification, 2) learning biology using experiential learning model learning improve student learning outcomes VIIA grade SMP Negeri 1 Aji Building Academi c Year 2012/2013 on materials Characteristics Being of Life. Students who completed their study or exceed KKM ≥65 on the pre-PTK by 25.81% after learning with experiential learning model learning of students who pass their learning on the first cycle to the second cycle increased by 9.37% and have achieved the target of researchers that students who study completed ≥ 75%. Goat droppings and rabbit droppings are types of animal droppings that have not been maximally utilized. If treated with both types of impurities can produce liquid organic fertilizer that can be used in agriculture. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of liquid organic fertilizer from goat manure and rabbit manure on the growth of lettuce (Lactuca sativa L.). This research was carried out in the agricultural land in the rice field area of Purbolinggo District, East Lampung.The method used in this study was an experiment using a completely randomized design (CRD) pattern of one factor, namely the type of liquid organic fertilizer from goat manure and rabbit feces three times. The data obtained were analyzed by quantitative descriptive analysis. The best treatment for stem height growth is P1 (liquid fertilizer of 500 ml goat manure), with an average growth of 1.8 cm for one month. The best treatment for the number of leaves is P2 (500 ml rabbit manure liquid fertilizer), with an average growth of 4 leave.
