ObjectivesThis study was to evaluate the performance of the newly developed information system (IS) implemented on July 1, 2014 at three public hospitals in Korea.MethodsUser satisfaction scores of twelve key performance indicators of six IS success factors based on the DeLone and McLean IS Success Model were utilized to evaluate IS performance before and after the newly developed system was introduced.ResultsAll scores increased after system introduction except for the completeness of medical records and impact on the clinical environment. The relationships among six IS factors were also analyzed to identify the important factors influencing three IS success factors (Intention to Use, User Satisfaction, and Net Benefits). All relationships were significant except for the relationships among Service Quality, Intention to Use, and Net Benefits.ConclusionsThe results suggest that hospitals should not only focus on systems and information quality; rather, they should also continuously improve service quality to improve user satisfaction and eventually reach full the potential of IS performance.
There are rapidly increasing in the number of SNS users according to quick supply of smart phones and expansion of wireless internet services, but there is no much researches on hospital promotion using SNS. In this paper, we proposed methods for development of effective hospital promotion by investigating current status of homepages, mobile web contents and SNS operated in 21 dermatology hospitals located at Seoul city and by analyzing contents according to functions as hospital promotion media. In the investigation results, all of three contents such as homepage, mobile web content and SNS are opened in 76.1% of hospitals and external companies occupied the main management body of the three contents at the largest portion(56.2%). There are hospital information, clinic, reservation in all hospitals' homepages and followed by broadcasting(90.5%), medical treatment(85.7%), consultation information(80.9%), member information in 'mypage'(42.9%), staff information(14.3%). In the analysis results, there is need to enlarge departments or staffs taking full charge of in order to manage the three contents professionally and also there is need to prepare and conduct hospital promotion methods using prevalent SNS.
The subjects of this study were 100 female cancer patients in wearing wigs. First survey was before wearing wigs for the female cancer patients who started losing their hair due to the side effect of the anti-cancer and second survey was after a month in wearing wigs. This study was purposed to analyze the recognition change before and after wearing wigs of the female cancer patients who started losing their hair due to the side effect of the anti-cancer.The gathered data were examined and analyzed through frequency analysis, paired t-test based on the recognition change which affect the quality of life before and after wearing wigs, and change of recognition related to the wigs. According to the results of this study, it is necessary to add wearing wigs as additional services in national health insurance and to educate desirable support program for life quality of female cancer patients in hospital.
