Direct nanobonding of p-Si/n-GaAs wafers based on surface activation that uses an Argon (Ar)-fast atom beam at room temperature has been investigated. The bonding strength of the interface was 14.4 MPa at room temperature, and remained nearly constant after annealing up to 600 °C. An amorphous layer with a thickness of 11.5 nm was found across the interface without annealing. After annealing, the electrical current-voltage (I-V) characteristics were improved and the amorphous layer was diminished across the interface. The thermal stability of the interfacial properties of Si/GaAs indicates its potential use on the fabrication of multi-junction solar cells with Si substrate to lower the cost while improving the solar cells' efficiency. The thickness dependence of p-Si/n-Si interfacial I-V characteristics using COMSOL simulation indicates the decrease of breakdown voltage and current with the increase of the junction thickness.
In this paper, an experiment is carried out on compressive elastic modulus, shear modulus, silicon fat consistency and peel strength of synthetic rubber bearing and cold type natural rubber bearing produced in Shanghai Rubber Factory under low temperature condition. The experiment reveals the mechanical property of rubber bearing and change law of cooling temperature difference which offers reference and guidance for the selection of rubber bearing products under low temperature condition.
Friction loss is an important component of the calculation of prestressing loss for external prestress strengthening technology. Unfortunately, the test data of relevant curvature friction and wobble coefficients is scarce, especially for beams strengthened by external prestressing Carbon Fiber-Reinforced Polymer (CFRP) tendons. Through the experiment of 12 concrete beams strengthened by external prestressing CFRP tendons, this study attempts to discuss the friction loss algorithm and the reasonable value of friction coefficient. The test results demonstrated that traditional friction loss algorithm for prestressed steel tendons is also suit to external prestressing CFRP tendons, but the value of curvature and wobble coefficients should be determined by different types of CFRP tendons and saddle design. What is more, aiming at the domestic production of CFRP tendons and the adopted special saddle design in this paper, the curvature friction coefficient is 0.263 and the wobble coefficient is 0.0067 at the deviator. Results of the research provide a reference for external prestress strengthening design with CFRP tendons.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
