The biometric system plays the most important role in this current century. Finger print identification is one among the foremost distinguished and familiar identity verification system due to its individuality. Security within the hostel is one of the foremost repetitive issues. To keep up day by day attendance verification is sophisticated and time consuming system for the hostel management. There are number of existing attending systems are available for college students, for hostel students it must improve. Within the existing system wardens are manually maintain the attendance for hostel students. This paper deals with, avoid of an entire problem in hostel management system together with this monitoring system also proposed. The administrator of this system was college principal or warden. Biometric system is used to accommodate a large number of students within the hostel. This system makes automatically to monitor the entry and exit of students from hostel and offers alert SMS to parents for their safety.
Puncak Cubodak is in Kampar regency, precisely on Jalan Lintas Bangkinang-Payakumbuh, Tanjung Alai, XII Koto Kampar, Kampar regency. Is one of the tourist attractions that have views of green hills, ‘island’ which is surrounded by Danau PLTA Koto Panjang. So far, Puncak Cubodak has only been used for tourism photographs, it is unfortunate if the potential of Puncak Cubodak is only enjoyed only by taking pictures. Therefore, the step to develop the Puncak Cubodak is to add accommodation facilities in the form of camping and glamping areas. And also applying the concept of tourism that is also developing in Indonesia, namely the concept of Halal Tourism. Halal Tourism here is more applicable to Muslim-friendly tourism and availability of halal food and prayer place. The purpose of this paper is to obtain a design concept with a research method in the form of a Puncak Cubodak environmental analysis, user analysis, and building analysis. The results obtained from the analysis are the design concept with the approach to the concept of halal tourism in the form of images. With this design concept, it is hoped that it can develop Puncak Cubodak tourism and the concept of halal tourism can be more widely recognized by thepublic, especially in Pekanbaru.
Abstrak.Bandar Senapelan sebagai daerah asal dari Kota Pekanbaru memiliki aset peninggalan arsitektur berupa rumah-rumah tradisional Melayu yang mempunyai ciri khas tertentu sebagai bukti sejarah yang nyata terhadap perkembangan kota Pekanbaru. Namun karena belum adanya program pemeliharaan kawasan ini secara komprehensif dan konkrit, maka dikhawatirkan keberadaannya akan punah dan masyarakat kota Pekanbaru tidak mempunyai bukti atau identitas lagi akan keberadaan kotanya. Aturan Pemerintah sebenarnya sudah ada namun perlu ditindak lanjuti oleh stakeholder kota. Nilai sejarah dan budaya yang terdapat di Bandar Senapelan akan mampu mengangkat jati diri daerah ini dan juga bisa menjadi kawasan pariwisata alternatif bagi masyarakat kota.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat sejauh mana potensi yang dimiliki oleh Bandar Senapelan yang mempunyai aset peninggalan arsitektur rumah tradisional Melayu, agar di lestarikan dan dipelihara sehingga bisa dimanfaatkan menjadi sesuatu yang lebih menarik, sekaligus untuk menjadi aset wisata sejarah dan budaya Melayu di kota Pekanbaru.Mekanisme penelitian akan dilakukan dengan metode fishbone dan penelitian ini masih berada pada posisi dasar dari pada sebuah Road Map penelitian yang telah di rencanakan pada bagian berikutnya dalam proposal ini.Hasil dari penelitian didapat bahwa potensi warisan berwujud (tangible) dibagi beberapa kelompok. Kelompok bangunan tradisional seperti rumah bulatan (persendirian), rumah nelayan, bangunan gudang dan perdagangan dan bangunan ibadah. Sedangkan kelompok bangunan yang dibangun setelah kemerdekaan namun tergolong kedalam benda cagar budaya juga masih bisa disaksikan. Untuk potensi budaya tak berwujud (intangible) juga terdapat beberapa kelompok seperti nilai sejarah kawasan, nilai seni dan budaya Melayu, dan permainan anak-anak dimana akan sangat mendukung kepada keberadaan bangunan Melayu apabila nilai budaya tak berwujud ini di lestarikan.Seluruh potensi ini akan lebih bermanfaat apabila dilakukan pemeliharaan dan pelestarian sesuai dengan yang telah di atur didalam undang-undang cagar budaya agar tetap terjaga dan lestari sepanjang masa. Site analysis is the first step of building and environmental planning and design, which has to be done to get the aim of the design. There are many factors that should be analyzed in that step, and the wind, as one of the climate factors, is one of them. The importance of wind analysis is to formulate the concept of building façade and landscape, as well as building structure. This paper will concentrate on the first one. To formulate the concept of building and landscape, architects should know about wind, its types and categories. Designers commonly use wind data in a simple manner in their analysis. The need to enhance the quality analysis is urgent, which can be done by utilizing a wind rose diagram. Generating a wind rose diagram can be either manually or by using software. Several freeware can be obtained from the internet. The method used in this paper is the implementation of freeware called WRPLOT View Version 8.0.0., which depicts the wind direction and speed in a specific location and period of time. This paper will present how to produce a wind rose diagram by taking a sample wind data of Pekanbaru, Indonesia, which were obtained from Meteorology, Climate and Geophysics Board (BMKG) Riau Province. Analyzing the wind using wind rose diagram to produce the concept of building façade and landscape is a significant effort in improving the quality of analysis. Wind analysis using simple data, which usually contains incomplete information, gives less optimal results. It could be sufficient when it is applied in a small simple building plan, but neither in larger project nor in climate-related architectural project such as tropical and bio-climatic architecture. By using the wind data from wind rose graphic, in which the information is more complete, the quality of analysis will be improved. Finally, the author will show a simple example on how to implement wind rose in site analysis.

Selain para pembisnis, wisatawan adalah salah satu tamu yang selalu menginap dihotel. Konsumsi listrik pada hotel sangat tinggi, maka dengan menerapkan konsep hemat energi pada bagunan hotel diharapkan mampu meminimalkan penggunaan energi listik. Konsep hemat energi ini diterapkan dalam prinsip perancangan desain pasif dan aktif. Metode perancangan pada city hotel ada beberapa jenis yaitu analisis manusia, lingkungan, bangunan, dan analisis bangunan hemat energi. Hasil dari perancangan berupa kebutuhan ruang, zoning tapak, gubahan massa bangunan, dan gambar prarancangan fisik.
