Teacher’s role in educating students is becoming more complex recently. It should not only educate students to be intelligent but also have a character. This is a qualitative field research with study case method. The data collection techniques that were utilized were observation, interview, documentation and triangulation. The data analysis consisted of data collection, reduction and presentation and drawing conclusion. The objectives of this research are to analyze the implementation of streghtening of students’ character education, inhibiting and supporting factors, and teacher’s role in reinforcing students’ character education seen from the perspective of Islam education at SMK Muhammadiyah 1 Wates. The finding indicates that the implementation of the reinforcing of students’character education had been done by applying programs of prosperous, religious and discipline. The obstacles of implementation are miscommunication, difference of character understanding adaptation, family background, and age. Meanwhile, supporting factors such as Islamic human resource, school societies’ commitment, professionalism, sincere and loyal work. This research aimed to find out whether or not a relationship exists between social support and resilience power and achievement motivation for children who live in orphanage environment. The approach which was utilized in this research was quantitative to know the relationship level between social support and Achievement motivation and between resilience and exceptional motivation. The population study as the research subjects; they are 44 teenagers in total who live in Aisiyah Kudus Orphanage whose age is between 13 to 18 years old. The data analysis which was utilized in this research was regression analysis towards the proposed hypothesis. The result insicates positive and significant relationship between social support and achievement motivation with a corelation coefficien (r) of 0.149 with signifiance level 0.002. Besides, it is found positive and significant relationship between resilience and achievement motivation with correlation coefficient (r) of 0.476 with significance level 0,000. The significance scores 0,002 and 0,000, which are lower than probability score 0,05 (p< 0,05) indicate that the working hypothesis in this research is accepted, which shows relationship between social support and resilience and achievement motivation. However, if it is seen from weak correlation coefficient, it can be said that social support and resilience are only a small part of factors that cause the emergence of achievement motivation.
The work demans of migrant workers who are far from ktheir families often make them easily exposed to bad influences in their social environtment. Therefore, PCIM Malaysia provides islamic education to migrant workers so that they can fortify themselves from behavior that is far from Islamic religious values in carrying out its duties, PCIM Malaysia incountered a number of obstacles, but slowly these obstacles were overcome. The study aim to determine the efforts made by PCIM Malaysia in providing Islamic education for migrant workers through Muhammadiyah Charity Business, as well as obstacles and solutions. The research uses qualitative methods with primary data in the form of interviews and secondary data form literatur sources. The results and research are PCIM Malaysia assesing a number of efforts in providing Islamic education for migrant workers through several activities and charities. These efforts are to increase Islamic knowledge and avoid bad influences and promiscuity. As wellas the conclution that PCIM Malaysia has chosen several years in providing Islamic education for migrant workers, namely conducting training, building PAUD, TPA guidance studios, and contributing to the contruction of University of Muhammadiyah Malaysia (UMAM).
Motivasi berprestasi merupakan faktor yang sangat penting dalam memajukan peradaban bangsa. Salah satu faktor yang mempengaruhi motivasi adalah dukungan sosial baik dari keluarga, sekolah, kawan sebaya, dan juga lingkungan hidup. Seabagaimana remaja pada umumnya, dukungan sosial juga sangat diperlukan bagi remaja dari keluarga menengah kebawah agar tetap memiliki motivasi berprestasi. Di Kabupaten Kudus, jumlah penduduk miskin pada tahun 2013 pernah mengalami peningkatan jumlah yaitu 70.100 jiwa. Adapun metode pengumpulan data menggunakan angket yang terdiri dari angket dukungan sosial dan motivasi berprestasi. Analisis data dengan korelasi digunakan untuk mengukur korelasi antara variabel dukungan sosial dengan motivasi berprestasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dukungan sosial berkorelasi positif signifikan dengan motivasi berprestasi pada remaja dari keluarga menengah kebawah di Kabupaten Kudus. Hal ini ditunjukan dengan besarnya nilai korelasi (R) yaitu sebesar 0.222 dan diperoleh koefisien determinasi (R2) sebesar 0.049, yang mengandung pengertian bahwa pengaruh variabel bebas (dukungan sosial) terhadap variabel terikat (motivasi berprestasi) adalah sebesar 49%, sedangkan sisanya dipengaruhi oleh variabel yang lain.
Religiusitas sering dikaitkan dengan perwujudan keyakinan atau agama dari seseorang maupun kelompok baik dalam bentuk penghayatan maupun pengamalan ajaran-ajarannya. Seringkali para peneliti menggunakan aspek-aspek yang mengambil dari teori Barat (Glock & Stark) di mana dalam proses perumusannya berpijak pada teori dari agama tertentu (kristen). Seiring berjalannya waktu, adanya kekhususan pada responden dari kalangan muslim, maka teori dari Barat tersebut oleh salah seorang peneliti diadaptasi ke dalam teori religiusitas yang lebih bernuansa Islami. Namun, Hal tersebut mendapat sorotan dari peneliti lain terutama peneliti yang menginginkan adanya rumusan tersendiri terkait dengan aspek religiusitas dalam pandangan Islam bukan sekedar adaptasi dari teori Barat kemudian dicari persamaan dengan Islam akan tetapi lebih menekankan pada ciri khas daripada Islam itu sendiri untuk mengukur tingkat religiusitas para penganutnya. Religiusitas Islami yang dipakai selama ini merupakan teori yang mengadaptasi dari teori Barat. Konsep religiusitas ini digunakan untuk mengukur tingkat religiusitas umat Muslim dan sudah diujikan pada responden dengan jumlah yang banyak serta dimodifikasi dengan kajian-kajian yang lebih Islami.
