Abstract:Child with mild intellectual disability has a resistance of 50-80 IQ intelligence below normal IQ. The purpose of this study is to analyze the effect of the big book media usage towards reading ability of simple sentences for students with mild intellectual disability. The study used the pre-experimental method with one group pretest-posttest design. The data analysis was tested by wilcoxon signed ranks test with significant level 0.05 and 5 students as sample. The results found that there was the effect of the big book media usage towards reading ability of simple sentence for students with mild intellectual disability. Suggestions for the teachers to apply the big book media as complement in learning process for the students with mild intellectual disability.
This study aims to define Early Formal Education teacher competence in the learning of dance art in kindergarten in Malang. This study uses a descriptive design with quantitative and qualitative approaches. The population is kindergarten teachers in Malang. The sample uses a proportional random sampling technique that amounted to 15 kindergarten teachers from five sub-districts in Malang, each sub-district represented three teachers from different kindergartens. The data collection technique used a questionnaire. The results show that the level of kindergarten teachers’ understanding in Malang of the Early Formal Education teacher’s competence required in the learning of dance art is in a good category; however, contrary to the reality in the field, the problem of early childhood dance learning lies in the lack of pedagogical competence, personality and teacher professionalism. Teaching requires intense and sustained training to improve dance learning competence. The conclusion is that the competence of Early Formal Education teachers in the learning of dance art in kindergarten in Malang is still lacking.
Pemanfaatan media pembelajaran yang tepat di TK dapat mengembangkan berbagai kemampuan anak dengan baik, tetapi sebaliknya apabila penggunaan media kurang menarik bagi anak, anak akan cepat bosan dan tidak tertarik lagi dengan pembelajaran yang diberikan oleh guru. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengembangkan media pembelajaran model-model boneka yang dapat digunakan untuk mengembangkan kemampuan bahasa ekspresif anak dalam bercerita sesuai dengan jenis tema kegiatan yang ada di TK.. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan yang mengadopsi tahapan pengembangan dari Borg and Gall. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa produk media yang dikembangkan mudah digunakan siswa dan memiliki tingkat kemenarikan yang tinggi.
Tunagrahita adalah seseorang yang memiliki daya pemikiran rendah. Toilet training adalah usaha melatih anak agar mampu mengontrol melakukan Buang Air Kecil (BAK) maupun Buang Air Besar (BAB). Pembelajaran toilet training pada tunagrahita perlu diberikan, mengingat rendahnya intelektual yang menyebabkan kesulitan belajar secara mandiri. Oleh karena itu, pemilihan media dan bahan ajar juga perlu diadakan/dikembangkan. Dalam membelajarkan toilet training pada tunagrahita diantaranya dapat menggunakan buku panduan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menghasilkan buku paduan pembelajaran toilet training yang sesuai dengan karakteristik dan kebutuhan siswa tunagrahita. Pengembangan buku panduan ini mengadaptasi langkah-langkah model pengembangan dari Borg and Gall. Buku panduan ini layak dan efektif digunakan dalam proses pembelajaran. Hal ini ditunjukan dari hasil validasi dan uji coba produk. Hasil validasi dari ahli media 91,66%. ahli materi sebesar 75%, dan ahli pembelajaran ABK adalah 94,23%. Hasil rata-rata dari ketiga validasi adalah 86,96% dengan kriteria sangat valid dan layak untuk digunakan. Hasil uji coba individu adalah 76% dan hasil uji coba kelompok 76,5% dengan kategori tinggi dan efektif untuk digunakan dalam pembelajaran.
Early Childhood is the beginning of basic skills development, and one such skill is the language skill. During this time, appropriate stimulus is required to assist the optimal development of children’s language skills, which includes the utilization of effective media learning in kindergarten. Field observation obtained by the researcher in Kindergarten PGRI 3 Tulusayu Tumpang Malang district showed that the only learning media currently used is in the form of visual utilities exhibited by the teacher and does not involve many children in the utilization. The purpose of this research and development is to produce an instructional media diorama that can be used as a language development tool for children in language skill group B. The learning media diorama is expected to help teachers to be more creative in using learning media as interactive game tools.
