Broadly educated professionals are a rely valuable resource for the Russian public health system in the current socio-economic conditions. Their capability to flexibly switch the focus and content of their activities in the changing and challenging environment is essential for successful performance.
The purpose of our study is to analyze the international evidence on managing the process of competencies’ development in healthcare managers.
Competence-oriented education and training of future health-care managers is of special interest. In light of this, the study of international data on the organization of the processes of key competence development is important. Here with, it is necessary to take into account the content of the studies, resources and technologies, factors that influence on this process, the development and evaluation of models aimed at improvement of the education of healthcare management professionals at medical schools.
We believe that the results of this review will help to develop and offer a number of practical steps aimed at optimizing the education and training of healthcare managers. In addition to a review of international data, this article presents an innovative project for the development of professional competencies of health managers – the Academy of Talent Development in Healthcare (ATDH). This project involves students of the Sechenov University who want to learn how to lead healthcare teams efficiently.
An important area of health care is the implementation of equal rights of citizens to preserve health throughout Russia. In order to analyze the dynamics of the development of the main forces and means of the medical industry in the territory of the macroregions of our country, we used the following methods: analytical, logical, statistical and direct ranking. The results of the study were established, the dynamics of primary morbidity of the population, the security of citizens medical staff capacity outpatient organizations and hospital beds Fund, and the differences of these indicators in the federal districts.
The paper presents sociological study aimed to analyze the conditions and methodological rationale for the basic directions of optimization of accreditation procedure for dentists. The study included 129 graduates of dental faculties of educational institutions of Sechenov First Moscow State Medical University. The material was collected by questionnaire survey and interviewing. The obtained results show that the introduced system of professionals' accreditation is an innovative educational technology allowing objectively assess the level of theoretical and practical training of dentists. Much of its effectiveness depends on the quality of produced and updated on a timely basis uniform base of assessment tools, the selection of the most prepared members for the accreditation commissions and creation of adequate conditions for its implementation in educational and scientific organizations.
The article presents a historical analysis of the development of the museum at the Institute of Hygiene at the Devichye Pole and its use in the educational process with students. There is shown the leading role of F.F. Erisman in the formation of this museum, opened in 1890 at the Institute of Hygiene of the Imperial Moscow University. Main factors that influenced the expansion of the museum exposition in the pre-war years were established to be the inclusion of the I Moscow Medical Institute in 1935. The Institute of the Organization of Health and Social Hygiene, together with its museum fund, and the completion of construction in 1936 of the superstructure over the building of the Institute of Hygiene, in connection with which the total construction cubic capacity of its four-storey building exceeded 62 000 m3 and provided the necessary premises for all units located in it. At the beginning of the Great Patriotic War (1941–1945), the building of the Institute of Hygiene was mothballed and subsequently needed for the repairment. The expositions in it after the war were transferred to the medical museums of Moscow. Taking into account the importance of the museum exposition in the educational process with students, in 2020 the museum was recreated at the F.F. Erisman Institute of Public Health of the Sechenov University and continues to be successfully used by preventive departments in the educational process.
