Business Development Strategy Certified Rice Seed On Subak Guama, Marga District, Tabanan RegencyThe increasing rate of population growth led to increased demand for food. In order to achieve food security, the use of certified seeds is one of the factors that influence the improvement of yield and quality of production. Attempt to capture these opportunities, Subak Guama need to make strategic business development of certified rice seed. The purpose of research is to investigate alternative strategies and priorities appropriate strategies run by Subak Guama in the development of certified rice seed business. The research location was at Subak Guama. Respondents were selected purposively regarding their expertise and knowledge of the research. Primary data were collected focus group discussions, surveys, and in-depth interviews. Secondary data were collected from publications. Formulation of alternative strategies and priority strategies using SWOT matrix analysis and analysis QSPM.The results show alternative strategies of business development certified rice seed include: 1) expand market share in order to meet the potential needs of seeds, 2) the formation of youth groups farmer, 3) improving the quality of human resources, 4) empowerment of farmers through the capital strengthening farming 5) integrated pest and disease control, and 6) optimization of the certified rice seed business. The result also shows that the priority strategy selected is capital strengthening farming. In supporting the development of business certified rice seed, members of Subak Guama is expected to strengthen the capital to apply for credit farming through financial institutions/banks so as to increase production and develop products seed varieties vary, increase access to a wider market so as to maintain its market position has been achieved, as well as more effective cooperation between farmers with KUAT Subak Guama.
The objectives of this study are (1) to analyze the influence of the procurement and distribution subsystems of production facilities for strengthening the Chili-Tobacco Inter-cropping Farmer Group in Bali Province; (2) analyzing the influence of farming subsystems for strengthening the Chili-Tobacco Inter-cropping Farmer Group in Bali Province; (3) analyzing the effect of post-harvest handling and further processing subsystems for strengthening the Chili-Tobacco Inter-cropping Farmer Group in Bali Province; (4) analyze the effect of the yield marketing subsystem to strengthen the Chili-Tobacco Inter-cropping Farmer Group in Bali Province; (5) analyzing the effect of supporting services subsystems for strengthening the Chili-Tobacco Inter-cropping Farmer Group in Bali Province; and (6) designing an agribusiness system development model that is suitable for strengthening the Chili-Tobacco Inter-cropping Farmer Group in the Province of Bali. The methodology uses Smart PLS analysis and the SAST (Strategic Assumption Surfacing and Testing) method in determining the implementation of activity level needs for farmer groups.
Region Development Strategy for Sustainable Food Houses Program (KRPL) on Women Farmers Group Karya Harum Village of Karang Sidemen Central Lombok Regency KRPL program is the concept of optimizing the use of yard area with a variety of crops, livestock and fish in one area.The research objective was to determine the internal and external factors and determine the development strategy KRPL program in the village of Karang Sidemen.The results of the analysis of internal factors Karya Harum group: a) the power (the availability of nurseries and mastery of technology is the most influential factor) b) weakness (the education background of KWT management is still a major factor of group weakness). External factors: a) the opportunities (the presence of a certain partner is an important factor) b) threats (the weather conditions are a threat within KRPL program development).Based on SWOT analysis, there are development strategies: a) SO strategy that is revitalizing the village seedlings (KBD) and strategy to maintain the partners, b) WO strategy is the strategy of increasing the quantity of cultivation of plants and training strategy of product development of the product of the yard, c)ST strategy namely water and hydroponics harvesting technology extension strategies to the group, d) WT strategy is stimulant strategy. Priority of strategy can be done by reviving the KBD and maintaining partners.
Ngurah Rai Forest Park Bali is a mangrove conservation which covers 1,373.50 ha; the largest mangrove forest area in Bali. However, its strategic location, in the center of business and the golden triangle of tourism (Sanur, Nusa Dua, and Kuta), creates pressures from various interests. This threat causes 253.40 ha of mangrove forest area in Ngurah Rai Forest Park Bali severely damaged. The aims of this study were: (1) to analyze the forms of land function change occurred in Ngurah Rai Forest Park Bali; (2) to analyze perception of the community around Ngurah Rai Forest Park Bali about mangrove conservation; (3) to analyze the behavior of the community around Ngurah Rai Forest Park Bali about mangrove conservation. The research was conducted from May until July 2018 in Tuban and Pedungan District. This study uses 2 (two) analytical methods, 1) literature study methods, to determine the form of land function change that occurred in the Ngurah Rai Area of ??Bali, 2) categorical quantitative analysis method to determine the perceptions and behavior of the local community. The categorical quantitative analysis method was used to categorize the perceptions and behaviors of local people. It is qualified into 4 (four) categories on a Likert scale. The results of the questionnaire collected were categorized into 4 (four) levels and discussed descriptively. This paper was based on primary data taken using questionnaire with a predetermined analysis unit to interview the community in the study area. The result presented with quantitative and descriptive analysis. The result shows that within twelve years, from 2000 to 2012, Ngurah Rai Forest Park Bali has a land function change of 29.76 ha or 2.16%; from 1,161.76 ha in 2000 to 1,132.00 ha in 2012. The level of community perception towards the mangrove preservation of Ngurah Rai Forest Park Bali is very good but the level of its community behavior is bad. It can concluded that good perception do not always have a good impact of people behavior towards the mangrove conservation.
The Role of Agricultural Field Extensionist (PPL) as a Facilitatorin Using Adult Learning Method (Andragogy), (Case in Gapoktan Madani,Sampalan Klod Village, Dawan Sub-district, Klungkung Regency,Bali Province) Agricultural extension acts as an agent for the change of farmers, which is byencouraging farmers to change their perceptions and behaviors to become farmerswith better ability and able to make their own decisions, which in turn will gain abetter life.The importance of the extensionist role and the importance of aninnovation conveyed by him, the extension agent should be able to become afacilitator who can foster and improve the ability of farmers in an effort to changelives for the better. This study aims to identify the role of the extension facilitators inusing adult education methods (andragogy). This research was conducted in acombination of farmer group (Gapoktan) Madani, Sampalan Klod Village, DawanSub-district, Klungkung Regency, Bali Province. The location of this study waschosen purposively or deliberately based on several considerations. The respondentcollected using census method in accordance with the number of active members ofthe farmer group as many as 60 people. This research uses the descriptive qualitativeanalysis method, which aims to give description and explanation about variablesstudied. Based on the results of the research, it is known that the role of agriculturalfield extension as a facilitator in the use of adult education learning method(andragogy) is included in the good category with the achievement score of 4.11.This means that the extension officer in Gapoktan Madani has been able to performhis role well as a facilitator in the use of adult education learning method(andragogy).
