Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pengetahuan dan keterampilan tentang penulisan notasi musik menggunakan software sibelius yang dapat digunakan sebagai alternatif dalam mengembangkan bahan ajar pada mata pelajaran Seni Budaya pada tingkat Sekolah Menengah. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah artistik “Art Practice Based Research” dengan metode deskripsi analitis dan beberapa pelatihan kepada guru Seni Budaya di Kabupaten Solok menggunakan modul yang telah dibuat dan dipelajari kurang lebih tiga pertemuan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan software sibelius sangat efektif untuk menuliskan notasi musik dan mengembangkan bahan ajar berupa aransemen lagu sederhana dalam format ansambel alat musik sekolah seperti pianika, rekorder, perkusi, dan sebagainya.

This research examines the production process of making Minangkabau wind instrument, Bansi, produced by Hamdan Thawil. This research began by observing the stages of making Bansi, then about production factors that affect the production process. The results of this study include; 1) the selection and processing of raw materials, 2) the use of tools, 3) the manufacturing phase of Bansi and the factors of production; 1) natural resource factor, 2) human resource factor, 3) capital resource factor and 4) expertise/ skill factor. The research was conducted with a case study approach and using qualitative methods. Data collection techniques were carried out using participatory observation, interviews, documentation, and triangulation. Organologi Bansi: Alat Musik Tiup Minangkabau Produksi Hamdan Thawil di Padangpanjang. Penelitian ini mengkaji proses produksi pembuatan alat musik tiup Minangkabau, Bansi, produksi Hamdan Thawil. Penelitian ini dimulai dengan mengamati tahapan pembuatan bansi, kemudian tentang faktor-faktor produksi yang mempengaruhi proses produksi. Hasil penelitian ini meliputi; 1) pemilihan dan pengolahan bahan baku, 2) penggunaan alat, 3) tahap pembuatan bansi dan faktor produksi; 1) faktor sumber daya alam, 2) faktor sumber daya manusia, 3) faktor sumber daya permodalan dan 4) faktor keahlian/keterampilan. Penelitian dilakukan dengan pendekatan studi kasus dan menggunakan metode kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan observasi partisipatif, wawancara, dokumentasi, dan triangulasi.
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pembelajaran awal praktek instrumen biola pada mata kuliah Praktek Instrumen Mayor I di Prodi Pendidikan Musik Jurusan Sendratasik Fakultas Bahasa dan Seni Universitas Negeri Padang. Jenis penelitian adalah deskriptif kualitatif pendekatan studi pustaka, dan dokumentasi. Penelitian ini menggambarkan kegiatan pembelajaran biola meliputi pengenalan instrumen, pengenalan penggesek, pengenalan senar biola persiapan peserta didik dalam mempelajari biola terkait sikap atau posisi tubuh dalam memainkan instrumen biola, penggunaan penggesek memainkan nada dalam posisi open string, penggunaan penjarian dengan teknik gesekan Whole bow, Legato dan Staccato. Hasil penelitian menjelaskan posisi tubuh dan penggunaan bowing Whole Bow (W.B) dengan penjarian dan posisi yang tepat berguna untuk menguatkan teknik dasar dalam bermain biola yang bertujuan memantapkan bunyi nada yang berkualitas sesuai dengan teknik yang tepat untuk mendapatkan hasil belajar yang maksimal.
This research discusses the Analysis of The Form and Structure of Melly Goeslaw's True Love Song which deals with motif processing, phrase processing, and period processing. This research includes qualitative research with content analysis approach that is systematic, objectivity, and generalization. This research data is collected from library study activities, observations, and labor work. Data analysis is done by means of data reduction, analysis and conclusion. Based on the analysis of the song True Love created by Melly Goeslaw found The Shape of The Song is 4 parts with the sentences A A' B C and D in detail with the arrangement of sentences A (a, a1), A' (a2, b), B (c, c1), B (c, c1), C (d, d1), and D (c2, c4). Judging from the structure of the song is formed from 20 motifs. The processing of motifs from one basic or initial motif is developed by processing in a ha-rafiah, sequen up and down sequen, interval magnification and in-terval downsizing. The motives are m, m1, m2, m3, m4, n, o, p, q, q1, r, r1, r2, r3, s, s1, h, i, i1, and j. From the motive formed antecedent phrases, consequent phrases and connecting phrases as many as 15 phrases namely a, a1, a2, b, c (rep 1x), c1 (repetition 1x), c2, c3, d, d1 and phrase p / liaison (rep 2x). The end of period A has half kadens, the end of period A' has half kadens, the end of period B and D has perfect authentic cadence and the end of periodC has deceptive cadence. The D-shape is the part that modulates from the base tone of F Major to G Major.
