This study aims to describe the implementation process of Bhineka Tunggal Ika value on students Grade VII in SMP Negeri 1 Surakarta in Academic Year 2016/2017, various problems encountered and solutions are provided. The researcher used qualitative approach, collecting data with source triangulation and technique. The researcher analyzed the data by using alir models through data collection, data reduction, presentation and conclusion. The results showed that applying Bhineka Tunggal Ika values to students can be done by familiarizing students to pay taxes, tried to build their tolerance and do not discriminate between religious people. The problems which happened in the students besides they are not familiar with the values of Bhineka Tunggal Ika, but also the lack of awareness of teachers, staff / employees in applying the values of Bhineka Tunggal Ika to students in SMP Negeri 1 Surakarta. The solution provided by the school is always trying to increase the understanding of the values of Bhineka Tunggal Ika to students so that the learning process can run well, and the implementation process of Bhineka Tunggal Ika's values can be achieved, the next solution is to familiarize the students to perform the indicators of value-Value of Bhineka Tunggal Ika. The school and teachers coordinate each other with the staff / employees to apply the values of Bhineka Tunggal Ika to the students. So that they are familiar to understand of these values, so that the implementation process of Bhineka Tunggal Ika's values to the students can be achieved maximally.
Pendidikan karakter sangat penting dalam membentuk perilaku peserta didik khususnya anak-anak dan remaja yang sangat dipengaruhi oleh dampak negatif perkembangan zaman. Pendidikan karakter yang paling dasar ditanamankan sejak dini khususnnya di bangku sekolah adalah budaya 5S (Salam, Senyum, Sapa, Sopan, Santun). Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk menguatkan pendidikan karakter siswa di MTs Muhammadiyah 9 Mondokan, Sragen. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif dengan menggunakan metode studi literatur. Dengan adanya program 5S (Salam, Senyum, Sapa, Sopan, dan Santun) ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa kegiatan berlangsung dengan efektif dan tepat sasaran, apabila seluruh warga sekolah saling memiliki sikap peduli akan pendidikan karakter. Sehingga Tidak hanya siswa yang wajib berperilaku baik, tetapi guru sebagai salah satu faktor pendukung juga harus mampu menjadi suri tauladan bagi siswanya. Kegiatan 5S (Salam, Senyum, Sapa, Sopan, dan Santun) paling tidak mencerminkan pengembangan karakter religius, bersahabat atau komunikatif, dan peduli sosial. Kesemuanya ini akan lebih baik jika dilakukan secara rutin dan berkelanjutan.
In a globalized world, young people are expected to have critical thinking and communication abilities, such as collaboration and technological skills. Both skills are imperative to equip them to participate in an international environment. However, due to a lack of early childhood education, youths in Indonesia also have less innovativeness and competency. This study aims to discover an ethical culture that enhances early childhood education by using the concept of local wisdom. This research was conducted in one of the Indigenous communities in Indonesia which were the Sundanese Community in Cireundeu, West Java. The qualitative approach used the descriptive method and revealed the consciousness of the Indigenous people in Cireundeu to engage in traditional Sundanese cultural practices by preparing their children to become ethical human beings, as well as being productive and informed global citizens. The results show that the community has implemented decent early childhood education, which is designed to prepare youths who actively engage as global citizens. The implementation of this study can be applied not only to children in Cireundeu but also to children all over the world.
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menginvestigasi implementasi dan efektivitas program pemerintahan desa dalam meningkatkan partisipasi politik masyarakat di Desa Gonilan Kecamatan Kartasura Kabupaten Sukoharjo. Penelitian ini menggunakan deskriptif kualitatif dengan informan yang dipilih menggunakan purposive sampling. Informan terdiri dari enam orang yaitu sekretaris desa, kepala seksi (kasi) pemerintahan, kepala urusan (kaur) umum dan tata usaha, kaur perencanaan, ketua Panitia Pemungutan Suara (PPS), dan sekretaris Panitia Pemungutan Suara (PPS). Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan wawancara dan dokumentasi, sedangkan keabsahan data diuji dengan menggunakan triangulasi sumber data dan teknik. Analisis data dilakukan dengan menerapkan model interaktif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa program pemerintahan Desa Gonilan, berupa Warung Pethuk, forum desa, dan mobility broadcasting mendapat tanggapan yang positif dari masyarakat, karena menjadi salah satu daya tarik untuk meningkatkan jumlah kehadiran pemilih. Efektivitas program-program tersebut dapat meningkatkan partisipasi politik di Desa Gonilan, hal ini dapat terlihat dari antusiasme warga dalam mengikuti kegiatan pemilihan umum, baik di tingkat pemilihan kepala desa, kepala daerah, gubernur dan wakil gubernur, legislatif, dan presiden serta wakil presiden. Upaya pemerintahan Desa Gonilan memunculkan alternatif upaya untuk meningkatkan partisipasi politik masyarakat melalui berbagai program yang menarik dan implementatif.
