ABSTRAKPengucapan adalah salah satu hal penting yang harus dikuasai oleh mahasiswa yang belajar bahasa Inggris. Pengucapan yang baik membuat keterampilan berbahasa Inggris mahasiswa menjadi lebih baik. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis kesalahan yang dilakukan oleh mahasiswa jurusan pendidikan bahasa Inggris FKIP UMSU dalam mengucapkan kata-kata bahasa Inggris. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah 1) untuk mendeskripsikan pendapat mahasiswa pendidikan bahasa Inggris tentang kemampuan pengucapan bahasa Inggris mereka sejauh ini; 2). untuk menganalisis bentuk-bentuk kesalahan pengucapan bahasa Inggris yang dibuat oleh mahasiswa; 3) untuk mengeksplorasi strategi atau upaya yang dilakukan oleh mahasiswa untuk meningkatkan keterampilan pengucapan bahasa Inggris mereka; 4) untuk mengidentifikasi hambatan yang ditemukan oleh mahasiswa dalam pelafalan bahasa Inggris. Desain deskriptif kualitatif digunakan dalam penelitian ini. Data diperoleh dengan melakukan wawancara dan meminta siswa untuk mengucapkan beberapa kata bahasa Inggris dalam topik tertentu. Hasil penelitian ini mengungkapkan bahwa mahasiswa memiliki berbagai pendapat tentang kemampuan mereka dalam pengucapan bahasa Inggris. Beberapa siswa berpikir bahwa mereka telah memiliki kemampuan pengucapan bahasa Inggris yang baik; beberapa siswa berpikir bahwa kemampuan mereka dalam mengucapkan kata-kata bahasa Inggris lebih baik daripada sebelumnya dan beberapa siswa lain masih berpikir bahwa kemampuan pengucapan bahasa Inggris mereka belum baik. Berdasarkan analisis data, para siswa masih membuat beberapa kesalahan dalam mengucapkan kata-kata bahasa Inggris. Untuk meningkatkan pelafalan mereka, para siswa menggunakan beberapa strategi seperti menonton YouTube dalam bahasa Inggris dan menggunakan aplikasi google voice. This research aimed at analyzing the errors made by students of English education department of FKIP UMSU in pronouncing English words. The objectives of this study were 1) to describe the opinions of English education students about their English pronunciation skills so far; 2). to analyze the forms of English pronunciation errors made by the students; 3) to explore strategies or efforts made by students to improve their English pronunciation skills; 4) to Identify obstacles found by the students in English pronunciation. Descriptive qualitative design was used in this research. The data were obtained by doing the interview and asking the students to pronounce some English words in specific topic. The findings of this research revealed that students had various opinion about their ability in English pronunciation. Some students thought that they had good English pronunciation skills; some students thought that their ability in pronouncing English words was better than before and some other students still thought that their English pronunciation skills were not good. Voter participation in elections is one of the benchmarks of the success of political development. The high level of voter participation will indicate the success of the elections and the low voter participation will indicate the failure of the election. Therefore, it is necessary to increase the participation of the voters as the responsibility of the KPU. Therefore, the KPU makes an effort to increase voter participation by conducting election socialization in Langkat Regency. The socialization aims to provide and disseminate information on elections. The effort is certainly to increase voter participation in the election. From this research is done with the aim to know the role of Election Commission Langkat in order to increase voter participation. The method used in this research is descriptive research method with qualitative approach. Analysis of the whole data is done with summarize data that is selecting data, simplified, and taken the main meaning (essence). Based on measurement of effectiveness of election socialization such as; achievement of objectives, procedures, resources, budgets, facilities, infrastructure and integration or cooperation with other organizations. Generated that socialization of election conducted by Langkat Regency KPU not yet effective where achievement of objective, procedure, budget, infrastructure and integration not effective and utilization of resources and facilities running effectively. So the result of this research is the role of Election Commission Langkat in order to increase the voters have not been maximized. With low voter participation rate around 60% obtained by data processing KPU Langkat Regency.
This research was about parents way in teaching politeness in their environment. The objectives of this research were (1) to examine parents’ perception about teaching language politeness to their children in a family environment;(2) to describe what patterns are implemented by parents in teaching language politeness to the children;(3) to find out the forms of language politeness taught to the children and (4) to describe the obstacles encountered by parents when they taught their children language politeness.Descriptive qualitative design was used in this research. The data were obtained by doing the interview and observation to the objects of research. The result revealed that all parents agreed about teaching language politeness to their children in a familay environment based on some reasons.First, famliy is the first place for children to learn about politeness. Second, teaching language politeness to children is one way to maintain our culture and third, teaching language politeness to the children can make them far from the dispute. Teaching language politeness to the children must be done through refraction, instruction, control, and modelling.
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kevalidan media Pop Up Book dan kepraktisan dari pengembangan media Pop Up Book pada materi bangun ruang kelas V SD. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian pengembangan (Development) menggunakan model ADDIE (Analysis, Desaign, Development, Implementation dan Evalation). Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SDN 09 Ampenan pada kelas VB. Instrument penelitian yang digunakan yaitu observasii untuk mengetahuii data awal, lembar angket validasi ahli materii, ahli media, dan angket respon siswa serta dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kelayakan media Pop Up Book pada materi bangun ruang yang telah dikembangkann memperoleh nilai persentase 83,75% dengan kriteria “sangat layak” dari validator ahli media. sementara dari validator ahli materi memperoleh nilai persentase 81,3% dengan kriteria “sangat layak”. Adapun dari respon siswa memperoleh nilai persentase 81,36% dengan kriteria “sangat layak”. Artinya media Pop Up Book praktis digunakan siswa dalam proses pembelajaran. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa media Pop Up Book pada materi bangun ruangg kelas V SDN 09 Ampenann “sangat layak” untuk digunakan dari kriteria valid dan praktis.
