Hanefîler’in Mukaddime Temelli Hadis Usulü Literatürüne Katkısı

Abstract

The Contribution of Hanafi Scholars to the Literature of Hadith Methodology Based on Muqaddima Muqaddima, written by the Shafii muhaddith Ibn al-Salah, and the works building on Muqaddima, Ibn Hajar's Nukhba and Nuzha and Iraqi's Alfiyya, are the principle texts related to hadith methodology. These texts have been used as textbooks in madrasahs by Hanafis. Hanafi scholars have written several works, like ikhtisar, sharh, hashiyya, manzuma and ta'liq based on these books because of their significance in the education of hadith methodology. However, Nukhba and Nuzha are the most widely studied books among the works based on Muqaddima. Hanafi scholars wrote two works built directly upon Muqaddima whereas they produced twenty-four works on Nukhba and Nuzha, and five works on Alfiyya. Although Shafiis have had a significant influence on formation of literature on hadith methodology, thirty-one studies analyzed in this article show that Hanafis made a significant contribution to this field, as well. Nevertheless, only fifteen studies among these are currently published. Even if Hanafis have built on these texts written by Shafii scholars, they have adopted their own doctrine, as evident in the case of mursal hadith. In a similar fashion to the literature of Hanafi legal doctrine, they approved the use of mursal hadith as a legal proof, in stark contrast to Shafii authors, who consider mursal among weak hadiths.
