Matrix-Degrading Metalloproteinases in Photoaging

Abstract: Ultraviolet (UV) irradiation from the sun adversely impacts skin health through complex, multiple molecular pathways. Premature skin aging (photoaging) is among the most widely appreciated harmful effects of chronic exposure to solar UV irradiation.
