“…The activity of 238 U and 232 Th ranged from 141 to 295.5 Bq kg À1 and 141e216.5 Bq kg À1 with the average values of 203.83 Bq kg À1 and 186.17 Bq kg À1 in Cameron highlands and 61e170.5 Bq kg À1 and 89.5e165.5 Bq kg À1 with the average values of 110 Bq kg À1 and 130 Bq kg À1 in Penang, respectively. Almayahi et al in 2014 reported natural radioactivity in human teeth and animal bones in Northern Malaysian Peninsula by using HPGe detector (Almayahi, Tajuddin, & Jaafar, 2014). The mean activity concentrations of 40 K, 137 Cs, 210 Pb, 226 Ra , 228 Ra and 228 Th in human teeth were found 12.31 ± 7.27 Bq g À1 , 0.48 ± 0.21 Bq g À1 , 0.56 ± 0.21 Bq g À1 , 0.55 ± 0.23 Bq g À1 , 1.82 ± 1.28 Bq g À1 , and 0.50 ± 0.14 Bq g À1 , respectively where in case of bones their values were found 3.79 ± 0.81 Bq g À1 , 0.07 ± 0.02 Bq g À1 , 0.08 ± 0.02 Bq g À1 , 0.16 ± 0.04 Bq g À1 , 0.51 ± 1.08 Bq g À1 , and 0.06 ± 0.02 Bq g À1 , respectively.…”
