PENGARUH NAUNGAN TERHADAP PROSES EKOFISIOLOGI DAN PERTUMBUHAN SEMAI Shorea selanica (DC.) Blume DI PERSEMAIAN

Abstract: Shorea selanica is one promising meranti species for commercial plantation, forest rehabilitation and reforestation purposes. Caused optimum light intensity for the seedling at nursery is unknown, the research effect some shading intensity on the seedling growth is necessary to be done. This research used completely randomized design of 4 treatments are : N0 = no shading (0%), N1 = shading intensity 55%, N2 = shading intensity 65% and N3 = shading intensity 75%. Each two seedling of S. selanica planted at mini… Show more

“…Furthermore, based on the results of the normality test, the species S. leprosula and S. selanica are able to adapt well to the rehabilitation plot of unproductive forest stands. It is in accordance with research conducted by Fajri (2020) and (Panjaitan et al 2011), which stated that S. leprosula and S. selanica could adapt well to rehabilitation land, such as unproductive forest stands. Moreover, according to research which had conducted by Pamoengkas and Prasetia (2014), at a young age, the type of S. leprosula has not been able to grow well; however, when it reaches the age of 3 years and over, the growth of this plant is able to adapt to its environment well.…”
