“…[325] Electrospun polymer-composite fibers containing magnetic nanoparticles have also been described, for example, PEO (or PVA)/Fe 3 O 4 , [326] PCL/FePt (by coaxial electrospinning), [327] PU/MnZnNi, [328] and PMMA/Co. [348] Polymer/ZrO 2 composite fibers were produced from PVP, [190,194,199,200] PVAc, [349] and PVA. The goal of most such studies is the functionalization of polymer nanofibers (electrical conductivity or mechanical strengthening) or the orientation of the CNTs along the fiber axis.…”

“…Among the various polymers, polyvinyl alcohol, polyaniline, poly(alkylthiophene) polypyrrole, polyophene, poly(3-hexylthiophene) became an attractive research topic due to their potential applications and interesting properties by chemists, physicists and electrical engineers alike. Especially, PVA nanofabrics have attracted much attention for decades due to its unique chemical and physical property as well as its industrial application [16][17][18][19][20][21][22][23][24]. The PVA used in this study was selected because of its ease of processing, cost and compatibility with Si.…”

“…ZrO 2 nanofibres with diameters of 50-200 nm were reported after calcinations [28]. Dharmaraj et al [29] fabricated ZrO 2 nanofibres of 200-nm diameter upon calcination of the zirconium oxide/poly(vinyl acetate) (PVAc) composite nanofibres prepared by sol-gel processing and electrospinning. The author demonstrated that calcination at 500 °C and 750 °C showed the presence of a tetragonal phase along with some traces of monoclinic zirconium oxide and calcination at 1000 °C with the monoclinic phase identified.…”
