We also detected low levels of Tbx1 in the presumptive mesoderm of gastrulating embryos and in the lateral mesoderm at neurula stages, sites of expression that have been noted in the mouse (Chapman et al, 1996;Bachiller et al, 2003) and zebrafish (SaukaSpengler et al, 2002;Kochilas et al, 2003).
