Tarama modelinde karma desenle gerçekleştirilen araştırmanın çalışma grubunu 2011-2012 eğitim-öğretim yılında Aksaray ilinde ilkokul ve ortaokul kademelerinde görev yapmakta olan toplam 641 öğretmen oluşturmuştur. Yapılandırılmış anket formu ile toplanan veriler hem nicel hem de nitel analiz teknikleriyle incelenmiştir. Farklı eğitim programları uygulanmasına rağmen etkili öğretim yapabilme, özel eğitime ihtiyaç duyan öğrencilerle öğretim ve bütünüyle mesleki ihtiyaçları karşılama boyutlarında hizmet öncesi eğitimin etkisiz olduğu sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. In this study, we compared the views of teachers who trained by the different curricula namely 1982, 1997 and 2007 teachers training systems in terms of the effectiveness of pre-service education. The study group contains 641 teachers who work in primary and lower secondary education levels in academic year of 2011-2012 in Aksaray Province. Research is carried out in the survey design and the data are collected in understanding of mixed method approach including both quantitative and qualitative techniques. Depending on the results we concluded that pre-service education is ineffective across the different curricula specifically for teaching effectively, teaching children with special needs and meeting the professional demands. To overcome obstacles and update the teacher training system, curricula has been seen as the first intervention area. Last thirty years we experienced three major curricula changes in teacher training system namely 1982, 1997 and 2007 in Turkey. This study aims to examine the effectiveness of different curricula based on the views of teachers who trained by mentioned curricula. Comparison the views of teachers can display the phenomenon explaining why we have still same problems despite the different curricula experiences. Methodology: The study employs a mixed method approach required using both quantitative and qualitative data. Researcher made structured questionnaire including open ended questions is administered. Research group is consisted of randomly selected 641 teachers working in primary and lower secondary schools in Aksaray Province. During the in-service education meetings held by local education authorities, research team asked teachers to fill the questionnaire just before starting the activity.
