The initial problem that will be discussed in this study is the low ability of students to solve mathematical problems in class XI Accounting at SMK Negeri 1 Padangsidimpuan. This is obtained based on the results of daily tests of students, through interviews, and observations of the experience of teachers who teach at SMK. The purpose of the study was to analyze the effect of the inquiry method on students' mathematical problem solving abilities. This research is a class action research, the sample is class XI Accounting-2. The stages of implementation in this study are by designing, implementing, and reflecting collaborative and participatory actions with the aim of improving performance as a teacher so that students' abilities can improve. Based on the results of tests conducted in the first cycle obtained 70.97% ability of students to solve mathematical problems, while in the second cycle using the same method students' problem solving abilities obtained by 83.87%. So that conclusions can be drawn using the inquiry method the students' mathematical problem solving abilities can be increased.
This study aims to determine (1) the mathematical communication ability of students taught by the gallery walk type cooperative learning model is higher than the mathematical communication skills of students taught by conventional learning models (2) student responses through the application of the gallery walk type cooperative learning model to communication skills. mathematics students of SMP Negeri 8 Padangsidimpuan. The research method used is quasi-experimental. The population of this study were all seventh grade students of SMP Negeri 8 Padangsidimpuan. Sampling using simple random sampling. The sample is class VII-2 as the experimental class and class VII-1 as the control class. Data collection using a mathematical communication ability test sheet.The results showed (1) t_(count )= 3.56 and t_(table )= 1.67 or) t_(count ) > t_(table ) so that it can be concluded that students' mathematical communication skills are taught by cooperative learning model type gallery walk is higher than the mathematical communication ability of students who are taught by conventional learning models. (2) Based on the results of student responses, an average score of 3.55 was obtained so that it can be concluded that student responses through the application of the gallery walk type cooperative learning model to the mathematical communication skills of SMP Negeri 8 Padangsidimpuan students were very positive.
This study aims to identify, analyze and map the results of students’ research on mathematics education in 2015-2018. This research used the CHAID algorithm that consists of 3 steps ie merging, splitting and stopping steps. The results of this research were (1) In 2015-2018, 51,9% of the students’ research used the classroom action research and 48,1% else used the descriptive, the analysis and the experiment. (2) 14,1% of the students used media for teaching and learning and 3,7% of them did not. (3) 8,1% were individual research and 5,9% were a collaboration or team research. (4) While the level of school and subject taught in schools did not effect the trend of student research.
Bahan ajar interaktif matematika berbasis e-learning merupakan sarana pembelajaran matematika yang dapat digunakan oleh pendidik untuk membantu peserta didik dalam proses pembelajaran dengan menggunakan elektronik seperti handphone dan komputer. Bahan ajar tersebut juga membantu pembelajaran pendidik dan peserta didik di luar sekolah dan saat jarak jauh. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Research and Development (R&D) berdasarkan model penelitian dan pengembangan 4D. Tahapan yang dilakukan yaitu tahap pendefinisian (define), tahap perencanaan (design), tahap pengembangan (develop), dan tahap penyebaran (disseminate). Hasil validasi bahan ajar yang diperoleh pada aspek kelayakan isi 3,58, aspek kebahasaan 3,67 dan untuk aspek kelayakan penyajian 3,53. Hasil belajar mahasiswa berasal dari nilai pre-test dan post-test. Nilai rata-rata mahasiswa pada kegiatan pre test diperoleh sebesar 40,25, sedangkan untuk post test sebesar 82,19.
Penelitian ini merupakan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas. Dalam penelitian ini disusun perangkat pembelajaran : Rencana Pelaksanaan Pembelajaran, Buku Panduan Guru dan Lembar Kerja Siswa. Selanjutnya menyusun instrumen tes essay dan lembar observasi siswa, sebelum instrumen tes digunakan terlebih dahulu di uji coba dan hasilnya digunakan untuk instrumen penelitian. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan melalui 2 siklus sebelum diberikan tindakan terlebih dahulu diberikan diberikan tes diagnostik dengan kategori minimal cukup diperoleh 40,91%. Selanjutnya diberikan tes hasil belajar matematika siklus I adalah 77,27 meningkat menjadi 86,36 pada siklus II. Persentase akivitas aktif siswa meningkat,hal ini diperoleh dari rata-rata kadar aktivitas siswa pada siklus I sebesar 76% kemudian pada siklus II naik menjadi 85,28. Kemampuan guru mengelola pembelajaran siklus I dan siklus II termasuk dalam kategori ―Baik‖. Berdasarkan Hasil tersebut maka penelitian ini menyarankan penerapan model pembelajaran Think Pair Share untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar matematika siswa dikelas VII-3 SMP Negeri 2 Batahan.
