The aim of this paper is to explain the strategy applied by the Kyai to transform the traditional marriage ceremony of Merariq/Nyongkolan among the sasak people of Lombok into becoming more shari’a friendly tradition. The kiai's communication strategy in changing the tradition of merariq nyongkolan in Sasak Lombok tribal community are: First, kiai as the leader of Pesantren Darul Falah Mataram communicates with the community of Sasak Lombok by using preaching method, bilḥikmah (wise). Second, kiai foster the harmonious relations with internal public and also external public. The kiai utilizes the graduates of Darul Falah to convey the kiai's messages and missions to the community through the majlīs ta’līm or pesantren, Madrasah Diniyah, muṣallā, and the mosques which is led by them. Third, the kiai uses non-verbal communication through a social approach to the community by attending to the celebration's routine such as 'aqīqah, diba’an, marriage celebration, maulīd an-nabiy, death, and other religious events its held in private homes or in mosques and muṣallā. Fourth, the kiai uses communication by using forms of threats to the community, especially the to the gradutes of Pesantren Darul Falah, who if they invite the kiai to the merariq nyongkolan event but still using kecimol music then the kyai will not be present in that event. But, when the community use Islamic music such as rebana, marawis, and with a series of activities those are not contrary to the shari'ah, the kiai will be happy to attend the invitation.Keywords: Communication strategy, cultural change, Merariq Nyongkolan
Career development is the process of identifying the employee's career potential and material and applying the right ways to develop this potential. The teacher career development process at Pesantrren Darul Ihsan begins with the implementation of monitoring and evaluation of teacher performance. This study aims to analyze and find: 1) the concept of teacher career development at Pesantren Darul Ihsan Hamparan Perak Deli Serdang, and 2) the types of teacher career development at Pesantren Darul Ihsan Hamparan Perak Deli Serdang. The two focuses are studied with the theoretical approach of career management, human resource management, and human resource development as well as several other relevant theories. This study uses a qualitative research model with a case study approach. The data collection technique is by using semi-structured interviews and document studies. Furthermore, after the data has been collected, it is analyzed using several steps: data condensation, data display and conclusion, drawing and verification. The results of this study: 1) Teacher career development is carried out in the form of a personal and career advancement plan, as well as monitoring and evaluation which have implications for: (a) repositioning, (b) dismissal, c) resignation, d) retire. 2) Types of teacher career development that are: short courses, study assignments or study permit, and in house training (IHT). Meanwhile, pesantren support for the career development of teachers is conditional and unconditional.
<p><strong>Abstract: </strong>Islamic boarding school is connected to the execution of ideas through organizational culture. The term Banjaran culture is referred to the significant knowledge which can develop students' attitudes and behaviors. Following the assumption of reflective practice, this study critically investigates the suitability of cultural values. Data were collected from the deputy secretary, Mr. Mukhlis Lubis as the representatives of school leaders, head caregivers, and senior students using a qualitative paradigm as well as phenomenological methodologies. The results showed that internalization occurred at several managerial levels. Meanwhile, the <em>Banjaran culture</em> is accomplished as a distinguishing element, a mutual commitment-forming, and helps to generate a stable social structure, as well as develop students' characters. The value of independence, creativity, entrepreneurial motivation, religiosity, communication, social interaction, mental and physical resilience, moderation, tolerance,<em> </em>and <em>ukhuwah</em> (friendship and kinship) are parts of the qualities created by its internalization.</p><p><strong>Abstrak:</strong><strong> </strong>Eksistensi pesantren tidak terlepas dari implementasi nilai dalam bentuk budaya organisasi. Budaya <em>banjaran</em> dimaknai sebagai pemahaman tentang nilai pesantren yang mampu membentuk sikap dan perilaku santri. Penelitian ini secara kritis mengkaji kesesuaian nilai-nilai budaya <em>banjaran</em> dengan asumsi praktik reflektif. Penelitian menggunakan paradigma kualitatif dengan metode fenomenologi. Informan kunci adalah wakil sekretaris Pesantren Musthafawiyah Purbabaru, Ayah Mukhlis Lubis sebagai perwakilan pimpinan pesantren, kepala pengasuh, dan santri senior pengurus organisasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan internalisasi dilakukan melalui tahapan manajerial sedangkan fungsionalisasi budaya <em>banjaran</em> dalam pengembangan karakter santri melalui empat karakteristik utama budaya <em>banjaran</em><em>,</em> yaitu: menjadi faktor pembeda; pembentuk komitmen bersama; penciptakan sistem sosial yang stabil; pembentuk perilaku dan sikap santri. Nilai yang terbangun dari <em>budaya banjaran</em> adalah nilai kemandirian, nilai inovasi dan kreativitas, nilai motivasi kewirausahaan, nilai religiositas, nilai komunikasi, nilai sosial kemasyarakatan, nilai ketahanan mental dan fisik, nilai moderasi yang menghargai perbedaan, nilai toleransi, nilai ukhuwah (persahabatan dan kekeluargaan).</p><p><strong>Keywords:</strong> Banjaran culture: Islamic boarding school culture: character building, Musthafawiyah</p>
This writing is a report study for the development of a learner school management model as well as the acceleration of educational completion with the goal of achieving sustainable education development at the Sukma Nation School of Lhokseumawe. The research focuses on the profile of the school of learners in Sukma Nation, as well as the program’s achievement and problems in its implementation. The research is qualitative in nature and employs survey methods. In terms of data gathered through documentation and interviews with relevant authorities, including focused group observations. The study also presents various manifestations of the Sukma Bangsa School innovations. The results specifically show that institution management refers to the implementation of five primordial grades of learner schools, namely personal mastery, dividing vision, mental models, sitem thinking, and group learning. According to the system, the succession of implementations is seen in changes in individual behavior ranging from knowledge mastery, information distribution, interpretation, and knowledge reminder. Furthermore, the school of learners’ leadership model has become a critical component of achieving school effectiveness.Penulisan ini merupakan kajian laporan pengembangan model manajemen sekolah peserta didik sekaligus percepatan penyelesaian pendidikan dengan tujuan tercapainya pembangunan pendidikan berkelanjutan di Sekolah Bangsa Sukma Lhokseumawe. Penelitian ini berfokus pada profil sekolah peserta didik di Bangsa Sukma, serta capaian program dan permasalahan dalam pelaksanaannya. Penelitian ini bersifat kualitatif dan menggunakan metode survei. Dalam hal pengumpulan data melalui dokumentasi dan wawancara dengan otoritas terkait, termasuk observasi kelompok terfokus. Kajian ini juga menghadirkan berbagai manifestasi inovasi Sekolah Sukma Bangsa. Hasil penelitian secara khusus menunjukkan bahwa pengelolaan lembaga mengacu pada penerapan lima nilai primordial sekolah peserta didik, yaitu penguasaan pribadi, visi membagi, model mental, pemikiran sistem, dan pembelajaran kelompok. Menurut sistem, suksesi implementasi terlihat pada perubahan perilaku individu mulai dari penguasaan pengetahuan, distribusi informasi, interpretasi, dan pengingat pengetahuan. Lebih jauh lagi, model kepemimpinan siswa sekolah telah menjadi komponen penting untuk mencapai efektivitas sekolah.
Sustainable issues are complex and intertwined with aspects of education, necessitating the development of design processes that promote innovation and learning. The learner organization is one of educational institutions' governance innovations that reflects adaptive roles in the face of change challenges. The study's goal is to develop the concept of a learner organization (learning organization) into a sustainable learner organization. Top management has the ability to greatly influence management innovation due to its prominent role in the organization. The purpose of this study is to examine the five fundamental dimensions of a learning organization (LO) in the context of educational sustainability. Qualitative research employing grounded method techniques. According to research, the following characteristics of educational organizations are related to learner organizations: (1) learning leadership caderization systems; (2) creation of learning structures; (3) model of holocracy work; (4) formation of individual behavior in the presence of learning opportunities; and (5) learning culture in the context of school organization.
