Basic Programming is a productive subject in the study of ICT Vocational High School programs that require students to develop information systems in accordance with the times. Lack of applicative material in basic programming subjects is a problem that is often encountered so that the level of critical thinking of students is less than optimal. In addition, the level of student interest in these subjects is less than optimal because of the monotonous implementation of learning. The solutions offered through this study aim to produce gamification-based mobile applications as innovative and communicative learning media. The development method used is the ADDIE model (Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). The result shows the total usability level is in 81.75%. Material validation shows the results in 88.89% and validation from media experts is 80.83%. Test results on the small group trial subjects shows 84.4% valid and the large group 85.22% valid. Based on the results of product usability testing and field trials, it can be concluded that the product is suitable for use as a medium in the learning process. The concept of gamification in this media also increases the attractiveness and motivation of users in order to obtain maximum testing results.
As the development of times or often called globalization, many parties make many changes to adapt it. also in the education sector which has to adapt a lot in order to be able to compete and achieve the goals of Indonesian education. In global competition, education in Indonesia is expected to be able to compete with various developed countries, namely improving the quality of education by mastering international languages and applying it in a learning process. However, not only formal schools can do this, but also Islamic boarding schools as part of the education system in Indonesia have also made many changes so that pesantren become more modern by implementing bilingual programs into the teaching process. The purpose of this study is to produce issues related to the implementation of bilingual programs in pesantrenbased education by reviewing 10 journals related to bilingual programs in Islamic boarding schools using the literature study research method. These results include: 1) Islamic boarding schools as part of the National Education System are expected to support Indonesia's educational goals by following the era of globalization, 2) Islamic boarding schools may apply as a national education system that is able to keep up with the times and compete globally with bilingual programs in the learning process, 3) With the modernization of pesantren, it does not change the characteristics of pesantren as educational institutions that adhere to Islamic religious knowledge, 4) Bilingual programs can be implemented in pesantren because they can improve the quality of education in accordance with the expectations of parents. Therefore, it can be said that pesantren can follow the development of education and be able to participate in the advancement of Indonesian education by implementing bilingual programs as a form of learning.
Several factors can causes a low student learning outcomes in mathematics. One of them is lack of motivation in learning so students are not enthusiastic in learning seen from students who tend to be embarrassed or afraid to ask questions, lack of responding to the teacher, and less responding to the teacher's explanation. Therefore, the importance of innovative learning and motivation can help students get the optimal learning process. This study aims, to describe the effectiveness of learning and improving student learning outcomes through discussion learning with ARCS motivation strategy about the surface area and volume of cube in 8th grade of junior high school. This study use a quantitative descriptive study using one group pretest-post test study. The subject of this study are student of VIII-B in SMPN 2 Wonoayu with a total of 32 students. Data collection’s methods are using tests (pretest and post test), questionnaires and observations. Data were analyzed descriptively quantitatively. To find out the increase in student learning outcomes in VIII-B class, the data were analyzed using n-gain. The results of this study include the ability of teachers to manage learning including good categories, students activities including active categories with an average percentage of 99.98 %, the response of students included in the good category with a percentage of 100%, completeness student learning there are 28 students completed with a percentage of 87,50% and increased student learning outcomes including the medium category. Based on the results of the research data, the implication of the results of this study is the determination of appropriate learning models and strategies can be used to improve student learning outcomes. This is indicated by the gain score obtained by students belonging to the medium category. The use of the discussion learning model in this study is said to be effective because it has fulfilled 4 components, namely student learning activities, student responses, student learning completeness and increased student learning outcomes.Keywords: discussion, ARCS motivation, result of learning
Penelitian ini membahas tentang gambaran komitmen organisasi pada guru di Lembaga Pendidikan Pesantren. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Subjek dalam penelitian ini yaitu 127 orang guru. Pengumpulan data menggunakan skala komitmen organisasi yang disusun berdasarkan teori komitmen organisasi dari (Meyer et al., 1993). Analisis data dilakukan dengan membuat kategorisasi dan melakukan tabulasi silang untuk mengetahui komitmen organisasi guru. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa komitmen organisasi guru termasuk dalam kategori tinggi. Sebagian besar guru memiliki komitmen organisasi yang tinggi pada dimensi kontinuitas dan normatif, kemudian dimensi afektif.
